It makes me wonder
How can someone so lovely
Be so greedy
You wanted the whole world
But I could only offer you my heart
So you take that along with the sky
And took flight with gold in your eyes
Just how much can greed change a person
When I first meet you
You were an angel
But you were just hiding your dark side
Like the moon
Whenever you leave
My whole world becomes bland
And I just want you back
But I see you have someone else's money
And you're finally happy
I can't stop looking at how the diamonds
Sparkle in your eyes
Much more different in the night
Your lavish lifestyle
Is something I can never give you
So once again I pray for you back
I don't want your money I just want you
But I can see your lover
Running low on cash
And I can see you running from him
When will you learn
That keeping your money locked up
Will result in loneliness
But still the way your eyes sparkle
Makes me want you back
But you turn away from me
I realize now
That you don't want love
And that's the only thing I can offer
But one day
When I'm rich and wealthy
You'll be coming back
