Flynn tumbled backwards into the leafy layer and to his surprise, ended up in a chamber of sorts.
He looked up and saw the princess, with shocked expression, as she was changing into her other clothing.
"Flynn! What are you- how did you find- look away!"
Flynn blinked quickly, just as surprised as she was and jumped up brushing off his pants.
"I'm sorry-" Flynn said as the girl desperately tried to pick up something to cover herself. "I didn't know-"
"Flynn I said to look away!" She yelled angrily.
"Yes, yes I'm sorry." Flynn turned around, flustered, and breathed heavily. He couldn't believe what he had just seen, let alone how he felt after having seen it.
She threw on her clothes even more scrambled than before.
"How did you find me?" She asked, more calm now but still blushing tremendously.
"I just sat down and, well, I guess through fate?"
"Fate!? You disgust me."
"I can't say that I'm sorry anymore. But I ran after you to tell you, that you can trust me." He heard her stop moving and slowly turned around again.
"You can. Trust me, I mean. I know I don't know much about you, but you don't know much about me either. Just give me a chance to prove to you that you-"
"That I can trust you." There was a silence.
"We can start off easy if you want, you could tell me your name."
"Thats not easy." She said quietly.
"Sure it is, you don't have to worry about your identity anymore, I know you're the princess, but," He stepped closer to her, "Theres more important things than that to me."
She looked up at him. He was very charming, and handsome. But none of that mattered more to her than what he had just said.
"We can't stay here. Guards are going to be searching every part of this section of forest tonight. Tomorrow we can come back and see if they've raided this spot, then we'll know if it's safe to return for good." She said.
Flynn watched as she grabbed her leather pouch and threw on her cloak. He examined her lush, brown hair, her flawless green eyes, and her smooth amber lips. He couldn't believe he had kissed those lips not even two hours earlier.
"What?" She asked him.
"Nothing, its- nothing. We ready to go?"
She led the way through the brush as it seemed to thicken and engulf them deeper into the forest.
"So... any chance you're willing to tell me something about yourself?" Flynn asked, filling up the silence.
"I, I don't know what you want to know. I'm really not that interesting of a person."
"What!? Sure you are! You're a runaway, like me."
"Like you? You ran away too?"
"Yes. My family, they aren't kind people. In fact they, they were drunks. When they got angry it meant me and my siblings would be in for a night of pain. So when my sister disappeared and my brothers died, I had nothing holding me back anymore. I wanted to travel the world. See life how it's meant to be seen. Not through the eyes of a trapped boy living a life of terror. So I left."
