Jiren will never admit it, but that night he slept more soundly than he ever did in the past few years. Maybe it was because of the way Lyric treated him before that. Not like some beast, but as an equal and with care at that.

Lyric, on the other hand, moved around a lot in her sleep, so it was no surprise as she woke up on the floor. She heard her phone ringing from her room, so she sauntered towards the sound, still half asleep.

Jiren looked over on the nightstand where the phone sat as it showed Bulma's icon, meaning that she was calling.

Lyric came in, half asleep and rubbing her eyes to try and wake up a little more.

"Morning."She mumbled, grabbing her phone and tried to sound like she didn't just wake up.

"Olo?..."

Jiren stared at her for her weird greeting, but she paid no attention to this. He then left to go eat some breakfast.

When he entered the kitchen/dining area, the sight before him to stop in his tracks, a sharp pain in his chest.

Cornelia was at the stove cooking breakfast, accompanied by her lover who embraced her from behind. They both were happily chatting away, completely oblivious of Jiren's presence. The sight caused him to scowl and hear his  heart beating vigorously in jealousy and in hate.

Apparently, the tension in the air was too much, as Hit detached himself from Cornelia and excused himself back to his room.

He did his best to ignore them by taking a bagel and sitting on the couch, turning the tv on to drown out any other sounds. Cornelia took note of his actions, the feeling of pity filled the pit of her stomach.

She won't deny that they had moments together, but she already moved on with her life. Jiren just needs to accept it.

Lyric walked out of her bedroom, dressed in a crop top hoodie with jean shorts over patterned leggings as she stared down at her phone.

"Morning Lyric! Who were you talking to?" Cornelia asked, taking her mind off the subject.

"Bulma. Though in her words, not mine; the 'staff'...all the elective classes that involve yoga, martial arts, dance, and music have been removed due to the shortage of students...they already sent those who did have those classes an email with their new random elective." She explained, sitting at a kitchen island stool.

"Aww man, I was looking forward to dance..." Hit sighed, earning a shocked expression from the two girls.

"YOU TAKE DANCE??" Cornelia asked.

"Technically not anymore, yet would that mean he's been in a tutu before?..." Lyric pondered, tapping her chin lightly in thought. Hit shook his head  and explained.

"TECHNICALLY it was more of a freestyle class," he then looked to Cornelia, "Besides, I've done a little ballroom dancing with you, so you should know~" he bumped his hip against hers as she let out a small giggle.

Jiren and Lyric cleared their throats at the sight, both uncomfortable of the situation. Cornelia stared at the two with widened eyes. She expected Jiren to be uncomfortable with PDA but Lyric? She usually doesn't mind...

"I just lost my appetite for breakfast..." Lyric said, a light blush burning on her face as she turned to Jiren, "Wanna head out already?"

He nodded, standing up and heading out the door as Lyric slipped on her sneakers and followed shortly. Cornelia and Hit both looked at each other, smug looks on their faces.

The two headed down the quiet hallways in silence. Lyric was unsure if it was comfortable or not for her companion. For herself, she found it oddly satisfying.
