A/n: so I re-read the ending with Hit and HOT DAMN THAT IS SOME SERIOUS ANGST MY BOY JIREN AHHH!!! So if you notice that my writing style is different than what it started out with, it's because of that and I've been role playing a lot sooooo :>

Lyric and Jiren were silently walking with each other to the theatre. She would sometimes sneak a glance towards the alien, but he would always catch her in the act. This went on for a few minutes before Jiren let out a low sigh, startling Lyric a bit.

"Is there something you need?" He asked without sparing a glance her way. She looked away as she held her arms behind her back.

"Ah, not really. I just find your face pleasing to look at..." Jiren was at a loss of words. No one had ever complimented his looks. Except for those...rare nights...but that was a while ago. He had already stopped that old habit and didn't want to fall back into it. His face was dusted a light pink as he looked towards the ground.

"That's a rather odd way to put things. I'm surprised you aren't horrified by me." He said. She widened her eyes and met his gaze. "Why would I be horrified by you?" She questioned, tilting her head to the side.

He sighed as he crossed his arms. "People tend to stay away from me because of my intimidating demeanor. Some might even say I'm a..."

Beast.

He paused, stopping himself from revisiting old memories.

Lyric waited expectantly for him to finish as she tried to guess what he would have said next.

"A...god of destruction maybe?" He smiled slightly at her words.

"Sure...that too."

"You know, I still have yet to see you actually fight. Ah what would a fight between you and Goku be like?! Ooh I'm so curious!" She rambled like a child. "I've already done so and won." He said. Lyric made an 'o' with her mouth.

"Oh yeah! I remember now! I heard stories from the Tournament of Power from a lot of people; mainly Bulma and Sensei." Jiren gave her a confused look as she said Sensei. "Are you learning martial arts from someone?" He asked.

"Yes, actually." She said. "Cornelia is my teacher. I got so used to referring to her as Sensei that it became a habit of mine." Jiren was starting to wonder how long it has been since...that night.

"...back on Earth, she  would talk fondly of you often." He visibly tensed at the information, but didn't falter. Lyric noticed this and continued. "However, every time she mentioned you she had this..." Lyric paused for a moment, trying to find the right words.

"...this far off look. She held sorrow in her eyes, as if it hurt to remember who you were." She said, her happy mood melting into one of concern and worry. Lyric's voice dropped low, almost in a whisper as she stared at the floor.

"Who is Cornelia to you?"

Jiren stopped walking altogether.

Lyric stopped beside him. She widened her eyes at the expression he wore.

His jaw was clenched, and his eyes were swirling with different emotions. There was happiness, envy, jealousy, anger, love...Was it her words that caused a trigger in his memory? There was such pain in his eyes that she was worried that he might lose it. She quickly spoke.

"Ah sorry! If it's too personal, you don't have to say anything."

Jiren stayed quiet, walking towards the theatre room without her. She could practically hear her own heart beating in fear.

'I screwed up...' She thought, a bead of sweat running down her face as she watched his every movement. Following from a distance, she walked behind Jiren.

~time skip~

She was sulking in the corner as she kept replaying the memory in your head. She obviously didn't mean to make Jiren upset. She thought about making it up to him somehow.

"Uh, you okay Cor-er, Lyric?" Cabba corrected himself. Fortunately, said girl was too deep in thought that she didn't even notice his slip up.

"Yeah, I'm alright. Just gimme a minute..." She replied, her voice slightly cracking. The saiyan sweat-dropped at how glum the usually outgoing girl was.

"Alright, just let me know when you're ready to get back to practicing." He said, going back to the script.

Royale observed her actions, wondering what in the world happened.

"Alright people, a few more minutes before we share!"

"E-ehh??"
