At the age of six, my parent's marriage had started its downfall.I had gone from believing in love, fairytale and soulmate, to believing that one day I could hurt you and you could hurt me and we'd be alone in the world. So I kicked you out of the cubby.
Wasn't the smartest move I'll admit, especially since Kacey-Jane smelt like old cheese and after playtime was done, I could practically count how many tears had fallen down your face... I knew you never played with the other kids.
I knew because, I looked for you out the cubby window, while Kacey-Jane kept going on about babies.
I wanted to know if you could be happy without me and me without you. I also wanted to see if I could make you stop liking me. So I did, what sounded like a good idea to a six-year-old... I called her the prettiest girl I had ever seen.
But she wasn't... you were, you always have been.
