^Brittle Bones Nicky by Rare American -creds to @_the_grim_ and @0ASHTON0 for introducing me to this song (I probably got the @ thing wrong again but it's sort of trial and error) -edit: I dedicated the chapter to the first person to thank them but I can't dedicate it to both as you can only do one per chapter.
TW: mentions of not eating properly, violence, blood, bad references. Let me know if I missed any!
If you spot any errors let me know so I can correct them! (I have read over and edited this chapter multiple times but I may have missed some errors).
The next day, as he was walking between German and English, he heard an announcement on the loudspeakers calling a bunch of students' names out, at first he wasn't interested, but then he heard his name called out, then the speaker repeated that they had to go to the principal's office at lunch. He felt nervous- what had he done wrong? It was only his second day, had he really already messed up? He let himself be comforted by the idea that he wasn't the only person to have been called. He hoped it didn't take too long though- he wanted talk to Ned and MJ and he should probably eat. Other than the lunch he had the other day, he couldn't remember when he had last eaten.
-~*~-
At lunch, he nervously headed over to the principal's office, he was a few minutes late because he had a practical in Biology so all the others were already there -they all looked like seniors though, so he thought he must've gotten the wrong time, he panicked and turned to run away before hearing a male voice call out "Wait! You're Peter Parker, right?" the voice caused him to cautiously turn around, the man looked oddly familiar, he was wearing sliver framed glasses with grey-tinted lenses. His suit was blue with a red tie, it looked tailored. Peter still couldn't place who the man was. He didn't want his voice to betray him so he just nodded. The man told him to come sit down. The principal's office was pretty big, there were fourteen others already sat there, so Peter took the fifth chair and sat down. The man walked over to the Principal's desk and leaned on it. That was when Peter noticed Mr Morita sitting in the corner of the room, rather than looking annoyed, like Peter thought he would, he looked rather in awe of the man stood in front of them.
The man coughed, drawing Peter's attention back to the front of the room. "As you will already know, I am Tony Stark," wow this man was cocky, Wait, did he just say-Oh My Gah it's Anthony Edward Stark! Peter became incapable of thoughts- until he heard Tony say "Now, as interns at SI you are expected to have a certain amount of professionalism about you, that means no being late, wearing semi-formal wear to work every day- that is, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening, as well as Sunday morning, respecting your superiors and colleagues, and doing what you are told. If you fail this criteria we will not hesitate to let all of you go, we have hundreds of thousands of students wishing for this opportunity. Remember how lucky you are. Now, you will of course be expected to travel to Stark Tower yourself, we will allow you a week to get used to your route, this does not mean you can be as late as you like. With that said, one of my employees will be seeing you tomorrow evening. Any questions? No? Okay, I'll let Mr Malteser here dismiss you." They all just watched as Tony left the room, still rather in shock.
Mr Morita talked to them for a further twenty minutes about what an opportunity it was; they all needed to behave well because this would be good publicity for the school. He also added that they would not have short period at the end of the day on Internship days so they could get there on time (it started at 17:00). Two of his short periods were just study hall but on Mondays he would have had his elective. He had already completed the form and predicted that he would get photography, which he had been looking forward to. They were all informed that they would have to catch up on whatever lessons they were missing but he didn't have a darkroom so he would probably have to stay after school every Monday to catch up.
