(Not in order!) TWs: Starvation, anxiety, kidnapping, detailed panic attacks, being restrained, needles.

It was around two in the morning when he was finally able to go out on patrol. He had sat in his bedroom, doing homework, until about ten. After he had finished it he watched the Unsolved Marathon Season 1. He had just finished watching the one about the Men in Black when he heard them go to bed. He watched up until the one about the Sallie House when he decided they would be asleep. He was feeling understandably paranoid so he realised very quickly that someone was following him. He shouted out at them to ask what they wanted. As they came forward he recognised them to be Falcon, Ant-Man and Vision, he knew Falcon was an Avenger but he'd only seen the other two in clips on YouTube from the big Avengers argument about a year ago.

"We don't want to hurt you, but you gotta come with us!" Falcon was shouting. Peter knew that had to be a lie though, they'd want to do tests on him, and know his identity and there was no way he was going to let them do that, he wasn't stupid. And he didn't want to ruin his chances of working at SI. So he swung from building to building, accelerating his speed before swinging off into an alley, he was quite sure he had lost them, so he sunk down to the floor, feeling quite exhausted. All he had eaten that day was a couple of bites of his sandwich at lunch; Mr Shelley had said Peter would go without dinner as a 'punishment for beating the other kid up' and unfortunately Ms Hall had believed him, it seemed like they were actually pretty good friends. It was quite obvious she didn't know about how he treated all of them.

-~*~-

Peter woke up with a start. It felt unusually cold, he looked around and didn't recognise his surroundings. He was in a room with dirty concrete walls and a metal-looking door, the lighting was dim. As his eyes continued to sweep his surroundings he saw a symbol on the wall. It was large and red, it looked like a skull, surrounded by eight tentacles. Peter suddenly recognised the symbol and tried to stand up, his only thought was to get out of there. His attempt to stand up failed, he realised his wrists were restrained. He used his super strength to break the metal and free his wrists. It didn't work. He examined the metal and realised it didn't look like any he had seen before. It was a very strong metal; when he had first realised one of his powers was super strength he had tested out a lot of metals and he had been able to break all of them with ease.

As he was examining the metal he realised he wasn't wearing his mask, but he was wearing the rest of his Spider-Man suit. He freaked out, only Ned and MJ knew about this identity. He was terrified of what HYDRA would do to him. They probably knew all about him now, they might hurt his friends, the other kids at the orphanage. The very idea made him feel sick. His breathing quickened. He was hyperventilating. He was helpless. There was nothing he could do. He distantly saw two people enter the room. The walls felt like they were closing around him. The people were wearing medical scrubs and face masks. He was stuck. The taller one opened a briefcase. It was filled with syringes. Sharp, glinting needles.

The tall one picked up a syringe with a blood orange liquid. The person attached a needle to the end. They walked closer. The tall one lifted the syringe to his neck. The other held him in place. They looked familiar. He tried to resist. He couldn't. They were very strong. He let out a guttural scream. He felt the needle plunge into his neck. Everything was dimming. It was all going black. His head rolled to the side.

-~*~-

Peter awoke to someone looming over him. Once he opened his eyes they stepped back. Again with those oddly familiar eyes. A man with a piggish appearance stepped forward. He wore circular spectacles and was balding. Peter thought he could hear a German accent; it sounded similar to his German teacher Herr Slade. Except it had hints of something else that Peter couldn't recognise. "Now, Spider-Man, or should I say Peter Benjamin Parhker. Ah, Parhker. I see you have your Mother's eyes. und der Geist deines Vaters" Peter wriggled around wanting to get out of there, he was still drowsy from being injected so he wasn't thinking clearly. How could this man know his parents? "Ach, I hafe not introduced myselv. ich bin Doktor Arnim Zola, (AN: Remember this is an AU, so he is still alive here) I joined HYDRA in 1934 und ich bin der anführen Wissenschaftler." (AN: see comments for translations) Peter was starting to wish he'd done the extra credit for German.

He wondered how long he had been there for. He actually felt glad he had been suspended. He would still have to do the work but because it was set online he would have more of a chance to actually catch up. Then he remembered the Stark Internship, he hoped he hadn't missed it. He had been really looking forward to it and he didn't want the others to miss the opportunity because of him. He wondered how long it would take for someone to notice he was missing. His friends would just think he was busy with his suspension work, Ms Hall had been planning to leave early that morning, so she wouldn't notice he was gone. Stark Industries would think he was being rude and a teenager, they would probably just let him go. When the other orphanage kids noticed he was gone they would be too afraid of the Shelleys to tell anyone and no one else would care.

He realised Dr Zola had still been speaking but he hadn't been listening. Hopefully he hadn't  missed too much. At a nod from Zola, the tall person in scrubs bent down next to the chair and released the wheels under it. They started to wheel him out of the room. He was wheeled through a dark hallway, at the end there was a room with doors of the same metal as the cuffs on his arms. The door swung open, as Peter grew more and more nervous.

In the centre of the room there was black dentist-style chair with parts sticking out. Peter gulped. It looked very imposing. Over the next few hours Peter screamed more than he ever had before. By the time they were done Peter was exhausted, he wasn't paying much attention as they wheeled him back out of the room, into the room he had first been in. He fell asleep as they were leaving the room.

Peter groaned as he felt a tap on his shoulder, but he jerked awake when his mouth was covered. He looked up to see the person with the familiar eyes staring at him. They undid his restraints and put a finger to their lips, he was confused and in pain but he decided it would be better not to complain. The person then gestured at him to stand up. They gave him the door key, a piece of rope, and his mask. They indicated for him to tie them up. He felt like he might be starting understand. It seemed like they were trying to help him but he wasn't sure why. He tied them up and then they pointed to the door with their head, urgency in their eyes.

He took a while to figure out how to unlock the door, but once he had he tiptoed out the door, sticking to the dark corners, he looked around for cameras. He couldn't see any so he figured he would just have to go fast. He slunk around the corners, when he saw a person coming he would flip onto the ceiling, using his webs -which were admittedly not very directed without his web-shooters- to his aid.
