Dear readers,
First off, I'd like to thank you for sticking around this long, and I'd also like to apologise for not updating this book in so long, and for leaving you without an explanation as to why.
So I guess this is that explanation, along with a rather important notice near the end (Tl;Dr at the very end in bold):
I probably should have been honest about this sooner: I haven't actually written a new chapter for this book since I posted the first chapter. At first I just had really bad writers block, and I did actually try to combat it by coming up with new ideas and looking at things for inspiration, but after a few weeks I just completely gave up, I had lost all motivation.
And then, a few weeks ago, the multiple month's worth of schoolwork that I hadn't done caught up to me, in the form of an email to my parents from my school, and it caused my parents to decide that the best option for me was to go in to school for two days a week so I would have a better environment to work in, of course this meant that I had a lot less time to be online, so, at the time, I posted a message on my notice board to notify people that I would most likely be updating this book less.
That was over two weeks ago now, and I haven't posted or written a new chapter since. Over the course of this academic year, my mental health has slowly been deteriorating, but the rate at which it's been getting worse seems to have sped up recently.
And now, due to some recent events, I won't be able to be online anywhere near as much as I used to be, and I don't know quite how long this will last for.
So I guess this is me saying: the updating of this book has been indefinitely postponed. I do still intend to finish this book at some point as I have a plan set out for every chapter, I know exactly how the book will end and everything in-between, I've just been struggling to actually write it.
Tl;Dr: I have a lot of stress and pressure in my life at the moment, so I had to make the rather difficult decision to stop updating this book in an attempt to relieve some of that stress. I hope to continue writing this again when I am ready.

I'm also sorry if this wasn't completely coherent: I wrote most of this after 4am in the morning before I had actually slept 😅)
