Acacia Taylor woke up to the usual sound of her mother's voice on December 8th. The girl sighed as she opened her eyes to the second week of the second semester. The weekend seemed to zoom by due to how the girl spent both of the days, simply thinking about the abnormalities she had witnessed the days before while doing nothing productive. She was wondering what could have caused her to see what she did, it especially made her question whether or not she was always in reality. Luckily the girl wasn't assigned any homework over the weekend so she was able to waste her time doing nothing but think, however she wished she now had something else to do to avoid the groggy feeling she got from doing nothing but think.
The girl then sat up to force herself to awake so that she could get ready for school. As usual, the girl first picked out her outfit for the day then got dressed before going downstairs to make and eat her breakfast. After she finished the first meal of the day she went back upstairs to brush her teeth then got her backpack and got into her mother's car to wait to be taken home.
Acacia didn't have to wait very long before her mother walked into the garage and got into her car to take her daughter to school. The ride to school was more quiet than usual for Acacia, as nothing was going on in her mind and her mother stayed as silent as usual. When Acacia arrived at her destination, she told her mother what time she wanted to be picked up and then got out of the car to begin walking to her first class.
When she got to her class, her teacher welcomed her before the girl asked if it was okay for her to sit in the classroom before classes started. Once the teacher accepted her request, Acacia walked to the back of the class where her assigned seat was and sat down. When she sat down she turned to her backpack and got the book she had been reading out and started reading it while she waited for the bell to ring.
Minutes after Acacia took her seat the bell rang and not long after that, students began walking into class. As the girl's peers began walking into the room, Acacia watched waiting for her partner, Daniel Wright. Daniel was the last one to walk into the class, as usual. When the boy got to class he walked rather swiftly to his chair at the back of the classroom and as he sat down next to Acacia he turned her and hectically asked her "Is this reality?"
"It would appear so," Acacia answered, closing her book and getting out her supplies for biology.
"This isn't funny, Acacia," Daniel said, nearly panicked.
"What suggested that I thought it was?" Acacia asked defensively, "Furthermore, why are you bent out of shape?"
"Ever since the day we were in the cafeteria alone after the school randomly abandoned itself I can never tell when we're in reality or that fucked other world," Daniel explained.
"Daniel, are you okay?" Acacia asked concerned.
"What is today's date?" Daniel asked, ignoring the girl's question.
"December 8th," Acacia answered, "Why?"
"This is the third December 8th I've woken up to," Daniel explained.
"Liar," Acacia labelled.
"I'm not lying!" Daniel said, trying to defend himself.
"I had a feeling this wasn't real," Acacia explained, "We're not in reality."
"You just said we were," Daniel said, confused.
"Correction," Acacia started, "I said it appeared as if we were in reality."
"But how can you tell that this isn't real?"
"I can tell because you aren't Daniel."
"What? Of course I am!"
