Acacia Taylor woke up on December 15th to the sound of her mother's voice. Over the weekend she had received a shocking call from Alexis and now she was pushed to go back to school. Emotionally, the girl was done with life. Daniel Wright had mysteriously gone missing on Friday and the police had no leads as to where he could have gone at all. When Acacia heard those words come out of Alexis' mouth she couldn't believe her. Acacia still didn't accept the fact that the boy was missing. In her mind she was still going to see him in biology when he walked through the door as the last person to class due to his late bus.
Even though Acacia didn't want to go on, she did. The girl got off of her bed but before she opened her clothes drawers to pick out an outfit she noticed a letter taped to one of the walls in her room. Acacia looked at it suspiciously before pulling it off and reading.
"My name is Daniel Wright. You may or may not know me but I am sending you this letter to inform you that I have found a way to build a link between dimensions to meet you. I don't know why I was given this ability or whether or not this letter will make it to you, but you have to trust me on this. Your name is Acacia Taylor but that's all I can remember aside from one other fact without being pushed into a state of life endangerment. I'm telling you this because I am going to link our worlds together and attempt to bring you into this link so that I can meet you. You have been plaguing my mind for a long time and I want to see your face and hear your voice; just know that you exist and I'm not imagining everything I'm going through. There's nothing I need you to do other than to believe me and to stay calm when the occasion in which I manage to take you into this link arrises."
Acacia stared at the note in disbelief, as any normal person would. She tried to find any legitimate reason as to how this could have gotten here aside from how the letter claimed it arrived. Acacia was convinced that whoever wrote this couldn't have been the real Daniel. To her, the real Daniel was going to meet with her and his girlfriend at lunch. Acacia was in such a far state of disbelief that she wasn't sure what to make of the letter in her hands.
How did it arrive? Who actually wrote it? How did the delivery person get into her room without noticing? With the newly found letter and the pencil incident weeks ago, Acacia was beginning to question her own sanity. For all she knew she was just imagining everything happening. Acacia sat on the floor rereading the letter again and again trying to think of someone that would pull such a strange trick on her. After rereading it enough times, Acacia balled up the letter and threw it into the trash can in her room. The girl had decided that she didn't want to deal with it and simply labeled it a creation of her insanity.
Acacia thought that she couldn't deal with the strange news concerning Daniel so her subconscious created an illogical explanation as to where the boy was. Multiple dimensions were far from something Acacia didn't believe but she didn't want to be given "evidence" of another dimension through such blunt means.
Once Acacia threw away the letter the girl resumed going about her morning routine. The girl started as she usually did by picking out an outfit to wear for the day and changing into it. After she got dressed, Acacia went downstairs to make and eat her breakfast before going back upstairs to brush her teeth and gather her things for school. As soon as Acacia was ready she went back downstairs to wait to be taken to school.
It didn't take long for Acacia's mother to walk into the garage and get into the car herself to drive her daughter to school. On the ride to school Acacia tried to ignore her problems. Even as she did this, the girl got a bad feeling about the day to come. She wasn't sure if it was just fear from finding the letter in her room but regardless of whether it was or not the girl still had the bad feeling. When she arrived at school, Acacia told her mother what time she wanted to be picked up before opening the car door and leaving for her first period class.
