I've been listening to this song on repeat for the last three hours bro it's so beautiful

also Detroit: Become Human is my current obsession so it's au time

He was only a robot, right? He wasn't a sentient being, so why did he just feel emotion?

The crying boy before him let out a choked sob, his chest heaving as if every breath hurt him. A pang of sadness coursed through Techno, every single cell in his body screaming at him to comfort this mysterious person.

No, he told himself sternly, trying to shake away this feeling. I'm not supposed to feel. Anger at himself flowed, making him wish all of these emotions would go away. He wasn't human, for hell's sake.

"Are you... okay?" he asked unintentionally, the words leaving his mouth before he had a chance to stop them. Nope. That wasn't right. Abort mission. The boy looked at him, a glare in his eyes that somehow wasn't filled with anger. "What the fuck do you think?" he snapped, leaving Techno speechless. He didn't think anything-- well, not until a few minutes ago when he saw this guy breaking down on a park bench.

Techno sat on the bench, his mind telling him that this was the opposite of what he should be doing. "Okay, then. Tell me what's wrong." His mind itched to stand up and leave, but his body told him to stay right there and see whoever this was through his troubles. "You don't need to know," the other mumbled, his voice almost inaudible.

"If I'm going to help you, I do."

"Help me? The next time I take help from anyone is the day I die."

"Sir, this is my job. I have to help." Techno wasn't about to admit that he was really helping this guy because he felt empathetic. He wasn't supposed to feel. It was against the rules and he would definitely be terminated if he told anyone.

"Wait-- you're an android?"

"Well, yea. It's pretty obvious," Techno said, and the boy looked up. It seemed that he noticed the robotic features on the other's appearance for the first time right then.

The unnamed boy took a deep breath, wiping away tears that still trekked down his cheeks. "I guess you won't think anything about it, so okay." Pausing, he inhaled. "I asked for help, and I got backstabbed. That's it."

Techno froze. He was expecting the story of a dog dying or a friend moving to another town. He certainly wasn't expecting that.

He stood, his brain supplying him with basic knowledge of how to calm humans down. "Can you tell me your name?" he asked. The boy looked straight into his eyes, as if trying to depict emotions despite the other being robotic. "Wilbur," he said simply, getting to his feet as well. "What's your name?"

"My name is Techno."

The two began to make their way through the park, Techno asking questions and Wilbur answering the ones he was comfortable with. After a few minutes, the latter decided it was his turn to ask a question. "So, you helped me because you felt emotion, right?"
Techno nodded, only realizing what he did a few seconds after. "Wait-" He began to panic. "Please don't turn me in," he begged, looking at Wilbur as the other began to laugh.

"No, no. It's fine," Wilbur assured, doing a quick glance around to make sure nobody had heard their conversation. "You're pretty cool."

This one seems unfinished and I don't know why.
