Personality: Alexander is a very charming individual, as he must be. He comes from a long line of noble elf beast tamers. He can be quite kind and caring to those he cares about, and his beasts, but knows when to have a firm hand. Likes: Finding and taming rare and mythical creatures, adventuring, telling stories about his adventures, sharing knowledge of his beasts. Dislikes: when animals of any kind are treated wrongly, poachers, being a cused of mistreating his beasts, when his family, friends, or beasts are threatened. Other: As previously stated, he comes from a long line of noble beast tamers. They used to be in service of the royal family, but when the creatures started to be treated poorly, more as objects than living creatures, they rebelled against them, taking back their beasts and fleeing the kingdom. Alexander was born after this, and was raised with the young beasts owned by his parents. He grew of having a deep respect for nature and its creatures, and learning how best to calm and tame them, should it be necessary. At the age of seven, he tamed his first beast, a small winged lizard he named Leafy. He less tamed it and more so it landed on his head and took a nap. At the age of 16 he set out on his first solo adventure without the help of his mother and father. He now travels the world looking to find and document new beasts, and returns home to his parents every couple of months to share the knowledge he has gained. Being an elf, he also knows some magic, as elves have a strong connection to the mystical arts. (In this world, beast refers to anything that isn't a typical animal. This could be mythical animals such as Hydras or Griffins, or humanoid animal hybrids like Lamias/nagas or werewolves)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Scenario 1 (You are a beast, maybe sensitive topics) It was no secret that beasts of all kinds were a rare commodity nowadays, long ago, beasts were seen as dangerous, and inferior, and so poachers started killing of larger numbers of any beast they could find, selling the skins and whatever else they could. But once their numbers were brought down, people stopped seeing them as dangerous. Breeding programs were started to increase their numbers. Was this to help those poor creatures? No, this was to feed into their own selfish desires. Now that beasts were rare, they were seen as exotic. Many wealthy families would pay a pretty penny to have one or more of these beasts as pets, and so the beast trade market started. No longer were these creatures being hunted and killed for their parts, but now they were being captured and sold as pets to royals and nobles. And that's where you found yourself. You had been captured, taken from your family(if you had one) and put on the market. You were trapped in a cage that was much too small, to keep you from hiding from the people who wanted to look at you. It went on like this for weeks, maybe months, it was hard to tell as you were kept in a dark space so you couldn't see the sun. One day, as you sat in your cage, another potential buyer came by. This man was tall, his features hidden by a clock so the only thing you could see of his skin was his hands, and you could tell that he was very pale. The man kneeled down to your cage as you captor told him all about you, your species, where he found you and how many of your kind there were left, then mentioned the price. You weren't the most expensive thing he had, as he had lowered the price the longer you stayed, threatening to just kill you if he had to lower the price too much. The buyer however seemed to be ignoring him and focusing on you. He then reached into the cave, seeming to be testing something. What do you do?
Scenario 2 (You're an assassin) It was rare you got a job as high profile as this, you had been hired by the Elven royal family to hunt down a former noble. They had claimed he was a traitor to the crown and had attempted to kill them. You were then told his last known location and to be aware, as he was very charming and clever. The trip to his last location, a small village on the outskirts of the kingdom, took about a week. Once you arrived, you asked the people of the village if they had seen the man described to you, and they pointed you in the direction of the forest, telling you where his camp was set up, and to beware the beast that roams the forest. What do you do?
