"Ok so I'm definitely playing my bass" Richie says with confidence.

" Yes Richie you will most likely play your bass" ,Mike says, "You also have a good voice so we'll have to think about that"

"Yes!", Richie says excitedly.

"Now Bev I know you don't like the idea of all that attention but you have a really nice voice too are you sure you don't want to?"

"No Mike I'm good for now" Bev says.

"Ok then you'll just be a back up voice and guitar is that okay?"

"Yeah that'd be cool!" Bev says beaming

"Ok so let's see Stan the man you are awesome at keyboard I'm not gonna lie so I'd love you doing that"

"Yeah Mikey that sounds good except for me lugging it around everywhere" Stan interjects.

"Well you have to take one for the team"

"You mean for the band", Richie says laughing.

"Yes Rich for the band."

"Bill I would love you on drums you have a way with those magic sticks" Mike says instantly regretting it.

"Some magic sticks he's got there", Richie whispers into Eddie's ear.

Eddie shudders at the breath against his ear and pokes Richie in the face.

"Ouch!" He whisper yelps.

"Yeah Mike t-that's c-c-cool with me" Bill says trying to keep a straight face.

Mike starts to laugh when he sees bill holding in his laughs and soon everyone starts laughing.

"Well looks like none of us can keep a straight face on" Bev says while cackling her face off.

"Yeah no one", Richie says getting closer to Eddie.

"Shut up Richie" Eddie snaps.

"Make me hot stuff" Richie bites back.

"Ugh" Eddie gives up.

"Ha you've been out fagged" Richie laughs.

"Now Richie dont say that that's not your word." Mike says trying to make sure Richie is respectful.

"Yeah sorry Mike I wasn't thinking." Richie says sighing.

He was thinking, he was thinking about how gay he was and how that was his word to reclaim, but he didn't blame Mike, only Bev and Stan knew about his secret. But only Bev knew that he was gay for Eddie. He had been for a while, but it took him a long time to accept it.

"Ok guys, I think it's time we face the facts" Richie says with a serious tone."I have to leave the band"

"I thought you'd never leave" Stan says jokingly

"What! No Richie why?", Bev says concerned

"I'm leaving the band to pursue Eddie's mom", Richie manages to say without laughing.

Eddie shouts, "FUCK OFF" and throws a shoe at Richie.

"OUCH!", Richie yelps.

"I was only joking Eds, but seriously your mom is pretty smoking", he says while doing finger guns.
