Once they were done setting up, Bev was first to the microphone, with encouragement of her friends she had decided that she would be the main singer of a song that she wrote. She was proud of it and so were the Losers so they began practicing.

"Ready Bev?" Mike said turning on the microphone

"Ready as ill ever be I guess" She said nervously while twiddling her thumbs

"Don't worry Bev you're gonna do great, we've practiced this a million times and you've been perfect every time" Ben said reassuring her

"Yeah Bev you-youve got this!" Bill said with a smile

"Thanks guys i wouldn't be able to do this without you" Bev said turning to face the rest of the Losers

"Yeah well as long as you sing beautifully and don't totally screw up we should be fine" Richie said shooting her finger guns

"Wow thank you so much for the encouragement Rich ten out of ten pep talk" Bev said with sarcasm and while chuckling

"Anytime dear anytime" Richie said plugging in his bass

"Ok ok shut up you too let's get going" Stan barked out

"Someone's a bit cranky" Eddie said laughing at Stan

"Aw Stan is it that time of the month?" Bev said trying to hold back a laugh. But all the others let loose.

"No I just want to get to practicing jerks!" Stan said while also laughing

"Ok then guys we should be ready now, Bev can we get a test please?" Mike said while stepping off the stage to stand beside Ben

"Oh yes we can Mikey" Bev said with an evil smirk on her face, "Can anyone tell me why the scarecrow won an award?" She said looking around, "no no one ok then, because it was outstanding in its field!" She said laughing and slapping her knee

"Oh my god Bev" Eddie said while snorting

"Welp at least we know the mics work" Mike said while looking at Ben and smiling

"Ok but why was that the funniest shit ever?" Richie said holding his stomach

"Ok Billy Boy start us off" Bev said

"One..two.three.four" Bill said accenting each number with the tap of his drum sticks

Eddie started strumming on his half guitar as Bev sang smoothly and softly, like a soft river flowing through everything, soon Bill started hitting his drumsticks against each other like rocks being thrown into the water, Stan's keys swimming through like beautiful fish, Richie's bass slowly getting louder like clouds coming to calm and stir the water at the same time. It was beautiful and harmonious, and then they all started playing with all the excitement they had, Bev let loose, body swaying, aiming wherever it could go. Stan's shoulders relaxed and he tilted his head up higher feeling like a weight had lifted off his shoulders. Bill's jitters subsided and his body moved with the beat of his music. Eddie began lightly slapping his free hand to his thigh and tapping his foot to the rhythm making sure he was well acquainted with its being. Richie started flailing his head all around making his hair go in every direction and he started to jump up and down feeling whatever shackles that where keeping him down finally fall. Mike and Ben began to move around and clap their hands, sometimes joining each other in a lively dance. They followed the beat, the rhythm, the sounds, the music, themselves, and especially each other.

Bev started lightly smiling to herself and soon broke out into a full toothy grin.

They all let go of a breath they didn't know they had held onto. Eddie sang the notes behind Bev's voice and they all let go of their worries.

Eddie started singing behind her, he was nervous at first when they practiced but now he knew that Beverley was with him.

All of their previous movements halted, the only motions left were the heaving of chests and the wiping of sweat. They all stood still and broke into smiles looking around at each other, getting lost in the feeling.

"Oh my god guys that was the shit!" Mike said breaking the silence

"It totally was oh my- you guys did great!" Ben said clapping his hands together

"We did pretty good didn't we guys?" Bev said turning around to face her ragamuffin crew

"Yeah we did!"Bill said
"Here here!"Stan said
"Hell yeah!"Eddie said
"You betchur' balls we did!" Richie said

"Ok guys so now we have about a...... fifteen-I think-yeah- fifteen minute break before next practice so you guys get water and snacks and then we'll set up for the next one" Mike said scanning over a list of The Loser's schedule

They all nodded their heads and jumped off the stage. Richie and Beverley remembered their beach trip talk and decided that they would bring it up before next practice.
