Evans POV:
After shutting my door I sprawl out on to my bed and sigh, of course, I'm happy to help my best friend. I would never leave him out on the streets but I can't help feeling nervous about the whole situation. I've had crushes on Nathan here and there over the past couple of years. It started off as just a small crush when we first met, then eventually went away but came back strong around a junior year before calming down again.
Lately, I haven't even thought about us ever possibly being together especially ever since Ashley came along I haven't seen him as much so it's made it a lot easier. God I hate her she's so toxic for him, he deserves so much better. I close my eyes and imagine him in my mind, a perfect smile, and shaggy brown hair that falls over his blue eyes. He stands taller than me at 6'3 and has face full of stubble. His body is athletic and lean, strong but not too muscular. I can see why girl have always thrown himself at him, he's so perfect.
I've known that I'm gay for a long time now all though, I haven't told many people just a couple guys I've hooked up with in the past.
It's probably because coming out scares me, I can't imagine what my parents would say but I know they care a lot about their reputation and that's all that matters to them. After washing my face and brushing my teeth I eventually fall asleep watching late-night television.

Nathan's POV:
I wake up to my alarm, rolling over I turn it off before noticing the 10 missed calls and 20 unread texts for Ashley. Usually, I'd call her back and make sure she's all right but I have baseball practice soon so I shoot her a text instead.
Nathan: Morning babe! Sorry about last night I was knocked out hard. I have practice but I'll make it up to you soon promise. <3
Ashley: Whatever, I'm over it. I better see you at Derek's party tomorrow night.
Nathan: I'll be there don't worry about it.
I put my phone down realizing the time, shit I better get ready. After showering I put on the same clothes I wore yesterday.
Luckily for me, I left my gym bag in the locker room yesterday so I don't need to get my things from my dad's house until after my classes are over.Quietly I walk out the door trying my hardest to be considerate of Evan who I know has Friday's off.
——————————————————————————Mathematics 103, algebra was never my strong suit but I manage to follow along and before I know it I'm being dismissed from my last class of the day. With my skateboard in on hand and my gym bag thrown over my shoulder and start the long walk to my dad's house.
When I walk in the door he's sitting at the dinner table alone
"I just came to get my stuff," I say entering the kitchen.
"And where are you taking it?" He responds
"I'm gonna stay at Evan's for a while."
"And how are do you plan to carry it all back there? On your skateboard?"
I stand there silently thinking before he interrupts me again;
"I'll tell you what, you're a man now if you really want to leave I'll help you load all your stuff into my car and I'll drive you over there."
"Thanks, dad!" I exclaim before running into my old room to start putting together a few boxes. I don't pack much due to the fact that I don't exactly have my own room. Just a box of clothes, some of my favorite movies, baseball equipment and my college textbooks.
Once we pull up to the house I grab my two boxes and my gym bag.
"I can see why you'd want to live here it's a lot nicer of a place than the dump we live in. Your mother probably wouldn't have left me if we had a nice house like this."
I roll my eyes at him, he always playing the victim card. His last resort to try and make me feel bad so I'll come back.
"Bye dad," I say ignoring his plea.
Walking through the gate to the back yard, with full hands I manage to open the door to the pool house. It's dark inside but the light to Evan's room is on, I store my thing underneath my bed. Once settled in I take a second to lay down and relax but it's not long before my stomach begins to growl reminding me that I haven't had a single bite to eat today. I wonder if Evan wants to go get a bite to eat.
Forgetting to knock I open the door to his bedroom, at first I'm unaware of what's going on as I find him laying on his bed making fast movements with his hand but I quickly catch on when I look up and realize he watching some guy pleasure himself in tv.
"Oh shit! - my bad" I say in a shocked state before I jump up and retreat back into the living room, shutting his door behind me.
I sit down on my bed with my head in my hands trying to fully come to terms with what just happened. Reliving the awkward moment in my head. Oh my god what just happened?
It isn't long before Evan's door opens and I see him entering the living room...
