Evan's POV:

I wake up late, I know it's a Sunday but I'm usually up early no matter what. Walking out into the living I expect to see Nathan but I'm surprised to see Ashley in my kitchen cooking at my stove.

"How'd you get here?" I say slightly snapping at her.

"Nathan let me in, jeez. Rude much?"

Seconds later Nathan walks out of the restroom and sits down at the table. Ashley hands him a stack of pancakes before kissing him on the cheek.

The sight of her kissing on him makes me cringe,

"So I'm guessing you two made up?"

"Not only did we makeup but Nathan is taking me away for spring break. Just me, him and our own hotel room." She reaches out to grab his face with her long fake nails, forcing his face towards her to kiss him.

I look at Nathan, confused and angry but he just frowns and looks down at the ground.

"ew." I respond rolling my eyes and walking back to my room.

"You're so mean Evan!!" she yells out, stomping her feet on the ground.

Nathan's POV:

It's been about a week or two since I've gotten back from spring break. Lots of partying, drinking, and arguing. I thought maybe getting away would rekindle our relationship and I'd stop having these feelings but I was definitely wrong.

Not only did we fight the whole trip but I also kept catching myself thinking of Evan and our kiss the whole time. One homoerotic encounter with your best friend can really confuse a guy.

Since I've gotten back Evan has barely talked to me. I don't blame him; I kissed him and then acted like it never happened. Honestly though the thought of me liking our kiss scares me, what would my dad think? He'd definitely be angry that's for sure, he'd probably blame it on Evan and try to convince me I've been brainwashed or some crazy conservative conspiracy like that.

When I got home from class, Evan wasn't here. In fact he's been gone a lot lately, I miss him a lot. I pull out my phone to text him.

Nathan: where are you?

Evan: friend's house, why?

Nathan: I wanna talk

Evan: then talk?

Nathan: just miss you bro

Evan: if your lonely then text your girlfriend.

Nathan: but I don't want to talk to her, I want to talk to you

Evan: Nate I'm on a date, I'll talk to you later.

Nathan: oh...

Nathan: with who?

Nathan: Evan?

Nathan:?

The next day I walk into my English class, taking a seat next to Evan. This is the only class we have together this semester we planned it that way to spend more time together before all this happened.

"Hey, you!" I cheerfully greet him after sitting down.

"Hey, Nathan" he smiles before looking back down at his book.

Not soon after Professor Lewis walks in the door, he's a young Professor; no older than 35. He has messy blonde hair, green eyes, and a thick British accent. He got his degree in England but recently moved to the states with his wife. I've never really talked to the guy personally but he practically told the classes his life story on the first day.

The class goes by so slow and I can't help but be bored out of my mind. Eventually I loose interest and began looking around the class room observing my peers as I just happen to catch Evan and our professor making eyes at each other from across the room. Their quite but the tension between them is unbelievable loud.

Suddenly Professor Lewis speaks up,
"alright class, I have some business to take care of so I'm letting you all out 20'mins early..... except for Evan; I'm going to need to talk to you after class".

Usually I wouldn't question it because Evan has been staying behind a lot lately but now it suddenly makes sense to me.

At first, it catches me off guard, I sit there in shock for a minute as my classmates around me begin to get up and leave. Eventually, I stand up walking over to his desk and stopping next to Evan.

"Need something, Nathan?"

"No, I'm just waiting for Evan" I snap at him

Evan turns to me "it's fine Nathan, I'll catch up with you later."

I can't help but feel offended that he would push me away. Without saying a word I stomp out.

Once I get home I can't help but sit in the living room like a worried parent waiting for him to come back. It's not till hours later he comes walking through the door,

"Really Evan?"

"What?" he says nonchalantly acting as like he doesn't know what I'm talking about.

"Professor Lewis, you're dating him aren't you?"

"Shhhh! Don't let my parents hear you! His name is Sam and were just seeing each other very casually. Ok?"

"What do you mean "casually" Evan, he's married!"

He replies; "They're  getting a divorce actually, and why do you care anyways you have a girlfriend"

I stand there my face turning red, feeling like jealous idiot

"You know what? You're right Evan, I don't care. I just want to go back to how things used to be, we never used to fight before all of this happened.

He nods "me too, let's just forget anything ever happened."
