CHAPTER 1
(Somewhere in the Beacon Hills Reserve)
-3rd person POV-
With a jar of blood and a brush in his hands, Derek began to write on a piece of paper with the blood from the jar. Lighting the paper on fire, He held the paper as it burned away to nothing.
Clearing up the area Derek walked off to the graveyard.
(Somewhere in Oregon)
-Kenna's POV-
Ryuu and I were sitting around our makeshift fire pit eating our food and laughing about the assholes we beat up when a burning letter appeared out of the air next to me.
"What the fuck is that?" Ryuu said looking over trying to read it but failing.
Snatching it up I began reading it aloud, "Dear Kenna, Things have changed a lot since we left Beacon Hills, I returned a while ago and I think it's time you and Ryuu come to Beacon Hills, I fear a new threat may be coming. This time I want to fight alongside my family and I want to see my sister too.
- Derek."
Seeing something on the back I turned it over to see an address and a note saying "Find your way to this Location."
I look up at Ryuu who had finished his food and had gathered his things into his own enchanted bag.
"Why are you packing your things?"
He scoffed and looked me dead in the eye, "Kenna, get your bloody shit together we're going to Beacon Hills."
-3rd Person POV-
As Kenna finished her food Ryuu had begun using the wind to pack the camp up and into their bags, after burning the scraps Kenna turned to the campfire and begun absorbing the flames into her arms. Ryuu had pulled out clothes for flying and had begun putting them on from behind a tree.
"Hey Kenna, you should probably change into something else, I mean considering your clothes have mud on them since you were probably chasing a damn butterfly through the mud" Ryuu yelled out.
"First of all, I was building a mud castle and second....yeah I got nothing else, " she laughed in reply.
(Time Skip)
-Kenna's POV-
As we approached the location Ryuu and I became more alert of our surroundings, we searched for signs of people who were still awake, circling the place from the clouds we began gliding downward.
"Drop into the alley?" Ryuu called out to me earning a nod in reply.
And with that we descended towards the ground dropping our bags before impact. Hitting the ground with a loud thud we rolled and stood wincing from the pain.
"Damn, you'd hope it gets less painful each time" Ryuu groaned as he turned to face me.
"Still hurts like a bitch" I laughed whilst rolling my shoulders back.
"A warehouse?" Ryuu looked at the place before shrugging "That's a new one."
"Yeah, but this is Derek we're talking about, dark and creepy is kind of his thing now" I grinned.
Picking our bags up we walked into the warehouse, looking around I saw there was a light coming from a train carriage.
"Derek? Derek are you here?" I called out while walking towards the light as Ryuu and I pulled our hoods back.
"Kenna?" a voice called out as a figure approached the open light.
Derek's older features became more noticeable, as we got closer I saw a grin on his face and rushed towards him with a hug.
"It's good to see you again" he said smiling down at me before looking up at Ryuu "Ryuu it's nice to see you as well" he nodded to Ryuu.
"You too man" he smirked and waved over to him.
"You got old brother, you even got a beard!" I grinned reaching to poke his face.
"And you dress like a monk" he gestured at my clothes.
"Oh please, you look like twelve year old boy wearing a leather jacket five times to small for him" I said with a huff.
"You Hale's are serious fashionistas" Ryuu chuckled out.
"Enough of that, come with me, oh I have some newly cleared out carriages if you two wanna stay here by the way" he pointed behind him.
"Yeah sure it's not like we have anywhere else yet" I shrugged.
With that Ryuu and I began unpacking into the carriage that we each got shown to.
For me I found a bunch of new looking mattresses so I took one and began pulling out a bedsheet and blankets from my bag. Setting up my bed in a corner area I began decorating it with patterned sheets hanging from the wall and sides, I hung up my element banner, placed a large amount of pillows on the bed, set up candles and hung fairy lights.
After finishing my area I headed out with my dagger to where Derek was, I discussed what's been happening lately with him while I sharpened my dagger. After a bit Ryuu came out to join us and we caught him up on everything, we continued until another voice was heard from the background.
"Derek? Derek!" a panicked voice echoed through the building, within seconds Ryuu and I had disappeared completely into the shadows.
"What's wrong?" Derek spoke from the border of the shadows to the scared boy.
I got a clearer view of the boy who was actually quite stunning, he had beautiful sky blue eyes, curly blonde hair and an insanely sharp jawline.
"My dad, I think he's dead" the boy trembled.
Emerging from the shadows Derek walked closer to the boy.
"What did you do?" he questioned.
"That's the thing" he panted "It wasn't me."
First off I really like the bond between Derek and Kenna, I very much adore the level of goof between Ryuu and Kenna so I'm going to love bringing that out. Enough from me but feel free to vote or follow me.
