Part 11

Selena's POV
I feel like today is going to be a very long day. I was already in my third class which I had with Justin, Austin and Vanessa wasn't there, but Justin was. I was in the middle row while he was a row behind me. Almost so cliche right?
The teacher was rambling on about something that I already knew, so I just started to draw something.
Ms. Parker: Justin, please tell me when World War l started.
Justin looked like he knew the answer, but at the same time he didn't.

Justin: Uhhh. July 28..1912?
It was more of a question than an answer.

Ms. Parker: Wrong. Selena, when did World War l start?
Please. I knew the answer by heart. I almost feel bad for Justin. Almost.

Selena: World War l started July 28, 1914.
I could almost sense half of the class rolling their eyes.

Ms. Parker: Good. Now when did it end?

Selena: November 11, 1918.
Ms. Parker smiled.

Ms. Parker: Great job, Ms. Gomez.
I never really liked when teachers call me that. It really annoys me..a lot.
I heard some people mumble, 'know it all' or 'teachers pet'. And some of those people were Justin.
I raised my hand and asked to be excused. I soon calmly walked out of the classroom, but once I turned to one of the corners, I started to cry. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I just knew the answer. People are being so cruel know and days. I don't know if it's a high school thing, but it's been happening a lot.
I walked to the bathroom and cleaned myself up. Once I walked out, everyone was rushing to the cafeteria to get their lunches first. Talk about animals eating animals. (Does anyone know what I meant by this? 😂)
I quickly spotted Vanessa and Austin and went to go catch up to them.

Selena: Hey guys!
They smiled and they quickly studied my face.

Vanessa: Sel, have you been crying?
I bit my lip and tried to look away.

Austin: Selly, don't lie to us, we know you have.
For a stupid guy, he's acting pretty smart.
I explained to them what happened with some tears slipping out. We soon got our lunch and got to a table.

Selena: Hey I'm gonna go grab a new apple and some water.
I made my way to the trash can and threw away my other apple and went to go get the stuff I needed.
On my way back, I was tripped. I looked on my shirt and noticed I had mustard and ketchup on it. I looked who tripped me, but I wasn't sure who did it since, I should say, Justin's crew were surrounding me and giving each other high fives. I slowly sat up and began to walk away.

????: Hey! I think you forgot something!!
I turned around, but to only be faced with a girl I never seen before. She had dark brown hair that stopped about to her back and she was wearing shorts that were too short and a top that showed a lot of skin/ cleavage.
She handed me my stuff and smiled. I was confused why is she smiling.

????: I think you'll need these. I mean, just look at you.
The guys beside her laughed while I had tears forming once again. I looked at her while the tears were about to fall.

????: Now, how about you go and work out and then go cry to your mommy because you realized that you can't loose weight. At all.
And that was it. I threw everything at her and stormed out of the school crying. I didn't even care if I left my backpack. I'm sure Austin or Vanessa will bring it.
I ran and ran. Then I eventually got tired and started to walk back home, where I was supposed to be.
Just to my luck, it started to rain. I picked up my pace and soon heard a car honk.

????: Hey fatty! Don't forget these!
She once again threw them at me and drove off laughing. I rolled my eyes and continued walking back home.

Selena: Hey mom! I'm home!
I smelled some pasta, Justin's favorite.
Oh Selena shut up. You shouldn't talk about that bastard.
I assumed my mom way in the kitchen.

Mandy: Finally, your back. What took you so long?

Selena: Oh you know, just doing my daily run.
I started to make my way to the stairs.

Mandy: Daily run? When did-

Selena: I'm gonna go take a nap.
I seriously did not want to talk right now.
