For the moment, Hela felt that she was on top of the world, her long, flowing, lavender and gold dress blowing in the slight breeze. Observing her uncle's unending enthusiasm and energy, even after taking the long, day-long route up the North Mountain to the old ice castle, she almost was compelled to laugh. He was the only one who appeared eager to take the journey again, her brother, mother, father and aunt, however, thought otherwise. "Well, wasn't that a lovely trip?" Thor, Hela's uncle commented as he stared at the view from the ice castle's balcony, taking it all in. "Thor, that was a bloody journey, not a walk in the park." Loki panted heavily. "So, how long until we're picked up?" Hela asked, breaking the tension between the brothers. Anna, Hela's aunt, looked hopefully at the the cloudy, grey sky. "I hope it's soon, though." "What's that?" Eric pointed to a silver, shiny, object in the horizon, fast approaching. After a couple of minutes, it was close enough to be identified, but nobody wanted to admit what it really was. It was several hundred feet long, and a couple of hundred feet high, made of what appeared to be a sort of reflective metal, with glass windows for the cockpit. Large missile firers adorned the sides and engines roughly the size of a two-story townhouse kept the starship going. "Woah," Elsa mouthed as the ship began to hover over the mountain, slowly descending. At last, the enormous starship landed softly on the snow-capped peak and the belly of the ship began to open, along with a bout of hissing. An officer walked down the ramp and ushered the family into the star destroyer. "You think one of these would look nice next to the castle?" Loki whispered to Hela. She stifled a giggle, the ship was nearly as big as the castle itself. "Your cabins are to the left, meals will be served at eight-thirty sharp, the flight will last another ten hours, if you need any assistance, I will take the pleasure in doing so. Welcome aboard the Tyranius, and please enjoy your flight. Once Hela, Eric and everyone else had finished settling in, Hela and Eric had decided to explore the vast star destroyer they now called home. Officers and passengers were milling about the main hall, where a huge chandelier illuminated the room and she almost forgot she was on a starship, it reminded her of a ball back home. "Hey-Hela? Please tell me those people are commanders in training or something." Hela spotted what Eric was grumbling about, she sighted two girls, a couple years younger than her, wearing skin-tight body armor, each bearing identical blonde angled bobs walking side-by-side, armed with menacing machine guns. She looked closer. "I don't think so, Eric," Hela smiled, despite herself. "I think that's our competition you're looking at." Eric's jaw dropped to the floor. "C'mon, let's go say hi," Hela beckoned Eric to follow her. "Hey! You in the armor!" Hela called. The girls turned to face Hela and her brother. "What do you want?" Demanded one of the girls, but now, from the front, Hela saw a tapering scar on the girl's left cheekbone. "Just wanted to know if you're competing in the Glory Games." "Of course we are, and when we win, we'll make sure to put some flowers on your grave, for saying hi,"Scar-Face snarled. "Come on Lexi, we've got better things to do." Scar-Face ushered what now was obviously revealed as her identical twin sister. "Yeah, Sasha." Lexi agreed and the girls tromped out of sight. "We're dead," Eric squeaked. Hela stared at her brother. "No way, we're going to win, no matter what those Siamese Twins say." Eric shrugged. They soon departed and dinner was served right on time, in their cabins. It was around six in the morning when all the competitors on board the Star heard the long awaited message from an unseen loudspeaker. "Good Morning, ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the Death Star."
