Nila - The Girl with the Troubles

Chapter Nine - It came out.

November 20 2013

Everything came out yesterday. Everything. I don't know what is going to happen. I'm really really scared, all I want to do is go to school and see my friends but mum says I'm not allowed to. 

Let me explain: My friends told a teacher what had been happening to me, and now it's out. 

I was told by my two friends that i had to hang with these other friends at lunch yesterday, because they had to talk to our english teacher about something, so naturally i was like okay, cool, yeah okay. Then during PE, which was the lesson after lunch, I was told by my teacher that I had to go to the office ASAP. I was extremely worried because I was never called to the office before, when I got there I was told to go to the Vice Principal's office, can you believe it? The Vice Principal! I was shit scared, and when I got there, there was one of the school counsellors and the vice principal, they were being really quiet and sypathetic-like, they told me i was brave and that a few of my friends had told them that there has been something going on between me and my father. That's when I broke down, and realised why I had been called to the office.

It had finally come out, my father had done something bad to me, and now I had to explain. 

Well, next, the 2 police officers turned up, and I heard that my mother was on her way to the school, mum! She was gonna find out what had been going on for over 2 years, I was so scared, what if she didn't like me as her daughter anymore? What if she didn't want anything to do with me because I didn't tell her?

When mum arrived, then I was asked some questions by the police, and I had to drive down to the local police station, there I answered a few questions, and stayed there until an hour and a half after school, then I was told I had to drive to a police station about half an hour away to go through details and make my statement. 

When i got to the other police station, I had to wait about half an hour before I was even seen, I had to go to the toilet there and it was scary because I thought that a criminal was going to eat me or something, it was weird.

Anyway, I got there, had to go into quite a lot of detail and it was really really scary, especially since this was the first time mother had heard it all and she had to hear all the gross and scary details.

I found out that dad would be arrested and possibly have to go to jail, I was really scared, and I couldn't even cry for that long after that. It was too hard and all the tears had gone, it took over 3 hours to make my statement, I was very hungry and upset and tired when I left that day. 

I cried so much yesterday, I can't even cry now, I don't know if I'll be able to ever again.
