Richie brought his bike to the side of Eddie's house, careful not to be seen by Sonia.
He went to Eddie's window and knocked a few times.

Knock,knock
No answer.

Knock,knock
No answer again.

Richie sighed, he must be in the shower, he thought.
He biked to the library, still having an hour before anyone would arrive at school.
He sat at his usual table, far back in the corner, hidden by bookshelves.
Richie zoned out, thinking of the events that happened that morning.
It was nothing new. His father being drunk, abusing him, then walking away as if nothing had happened.

"Hey Rich! I thought you would be here."

Richie looked up and saw Eddie Kaspbrak, dressed in a light pink sweater with red short shorts. Richie thought Eddie was the cutest boy ever. The way his freckles dotted his face like stars, the way he wore short shorts despite it being November.

Stop it Richie, those thoughts are gay, you're not gay.

Richie smiled at Eddie, while Eddie took a seat beside him.

They talked for a while, until they realized they had 15 minutes before they had to get to class. They got to their lockers and took out everything they needed.
The bell rang and they parted ways, Richie going to science and Eddie going to English.

Richie sat at the back of the room, sitting close to the window. Nobody wanted to sit near the boy, hearing the rumours about him that he had a disease, that he was gay.

"Hey faggot! Where's your boyfriend?"

Henry Bowers stood in front of Richie, an evil grin on his face.

"Oh Henry, I would never cheat on your mom!"
Richie replied, feeling his own grin creep on his face.

Before Henry could make a snarky comment back, the teacher came in and started the lesson.

Richie zoned out for most of the class. Even though he never paid attention, he still managed to get good grades.

Richie was zoned out for most of the morning, only coming back to reality when it was time to switch classes.

Lunch came, and Richie went to his usual spot: the library.
Eddie would sit with his other friends, who called themselves "the losers club"
Richie didn't know why they called themselves that, but he didn't really care.

Once again he sat alone in the library. He was used to it, but sometimes he wished he had more friends. He had been invited to hang out with the losers, but his anxiety screamed in his head, causing him to close everybody out, except Eddie.

The day went by slowly, but finally Richie was able to go home. He listened to music through his walkman, not noticing the people following him.

"Hey, Faggot!"
