Renar couldn't believe his ears. His jaw tightened as he blinked twice, "Excuse me?"

Zeik now realised what he had said. He wasn't thinking straight. He wanted to be the one comforting Anayah. The one she kissed and held onto in the hallway. He was jealous and angry. He's not used to losing and he certainly was not going to give up.
He knew Anayah had a strong attraction towards him and he was going to use that to his advantage.
He realised it was too soon for Renar to know, and it could ruin everything for him. Anayah would hate him and so would Renar, so he smiled lightly and spoke,

"Yes, Renar. I want her... to be fine. To be happy. Within this short time I've gotten to know her, I see her as a part of the family. You're like a brother to me because your father is my second dad. It's natural that I'm wanting to know everything about you and your little lady. As I said in the kitchen, you two look inseparable. You make me want to settle down somehow."

Zeik saw a hint of relief on Renar's face and he was smirking on the inside that he came up with that excuse quickly.

Renar's muscles relaxed, he was staring at Zeik with no emotion.

"I'm glad we supposedly... inspire you? Grateful for your concern and everything but you don't have to worry so much about her. Hope you do settle down soon. Wishing you the best of luck, bro."
Renar patted him on the back and began walking back into the school. He had a gut feeling there was more to what Zeik said. Tried to brush off the bad feeling but it was persistent in his thoughts.

Zeik got into his car after Renar was out of sight. He clutched his steering wheel and drove off with a smirk,
"Oh I definitely will be settling down soon. With Your girlfriend."

"Anayah don't think about it too much." Analeigh caressed her cheek, "I know Ronné loves you and will come apologise soon."

They were in Anayah's room, on her bed, as she was ranting to her older sister about her day.

"I don't want to hear from her... not yet. She lied to my face when I showed her the messages. She trashed Brad and didn't confess to her cheating with Christian. Is she sane though? Why would she protect Christian? Does she not love Brad anymore? I'm just so confused right now."

"We all don't understand her actions, Lu. In due time... when she's ready, she'll explain herself. Would really love to know what she's going to say to justify herself, but we must not be too hard on her. We all act stupid sometimes; my whole separating you and Renar fiasco and your Zeik drama. Ronné was very supportive, so maybe now's our time to be supportive."

"Oh por favor, Analeigh. I never lied to her about anything. She was literally telling me to fill her in on everything about Zeik, telling me to not leave out a single detail when she... ugh! Even with your case, you never lied to me. You told me to my face that you wanted Renar but whenever I asked about what's going on with her, she kept saying the most random shit and always changed the topic when I'm persistent and really caring about her. As if it was a one sided friendship and she didn't trust me enough. She really made me wonder if everything concerning our supposed relationship was a lie this entire time."

Analeigh was silent for a while after listening to Anayah's good points. She didn't know how to defend Ronné anymore or keep Anayah calm.

"Stay calm, hermanita. Try to occupy yourself with other important matters. It'll all make sense soon." Analeigh sighed.
