Kyra knocked on Wallace's door and stood back waiting for him to answer. Nervousness filled her body, but also excitement because of Wallace reaching out to her. He opened the door and instantly pulled her into his arms, she took into his good- smelling scent and how warm she felt in his arms before they pulled away from each other. "Glad you came" he said opening the door wider for her to come in. Once she was inside she got comfortable, removed her shoes and sat indian style on the couch. Wallace walked over and took a seat next to her, simplying admiring her beauty even though she was dressed in a comfortable sweat suit outfit and a neat bun at the top of her head, she still was one of the most gorgeous female's he ever laid eyes on.
"So how you been"? he asked. A smile appeared on her face as she looked over at him "I've been good, how about you"?
He nodded his head "Maintaining as always... It's nice to see you. I know the last time we seen each other it wasn't on the best of terms and I wanted to say sorry to you about that".
She smiled at him and gave a head "It's okay I understand... I wasn't the nicest myself especially at the club that night for Meona's birthday".
"It's all good we both made mistakes ma". She sat there playing with her fingers for a minute while they both sat there in a arkward silence. Niether of them really knew what they wanted to say to each other, but they definitely missed being in each others presence. A few minutes late, Wallace finally broke the silence "So are you okay, I heard what happened and I ...." But before he could finish she cut him off. "Did you call me over about what happened to me"? she asked rolling her eyes up in her head. This was the last conversation that she wanted to have especially with Wallace.
"I wanna make sure your good" he said in a soft tone, realizing she was becoming irritated.
"I'm fine Wallace and if you don't mind I don't wanna talk about it... matter fact I think it's best for me to leave" she said standing to her feet. Wallace gently grabbed her arm to stop her, but she snatched away from him and headed towards the door."Ky I just wanna talk that's all" he called out. She sprung around and faced him "I was raped okay it's nothing to talk about... I'm okay" her voice raised. "Ky you are not okay... baby just talk to me please" He said, noticing the tears that began to form in her eyes. He wanted to know what happened to her, he wanted to understand her pain and heal her hurt. Slowly she walked back over to the couch where he was sitting and sat back down next to him. Exhaling deeply, she looked up at him as tears rolled down her brown cheeks. "I was lost without you and the night I came over to talk to you and then when I left from here I was so angry that I was so determined to get over you. So I finally decided to take Blue up on his offer and go out on a date with him" she wiped her tears and took another deep breath before she continued. "One date turned in to more dates and then I got comfortable with him, but I still couldn't break away from you. So I purposely started spending more and more time with him and then he got me out of my comfort zone. I wined up going to his house one night after our date and he wanted to have sex, but I wasn't ready. Blue was Blue though" she paused and chuckled "He wasn't trying to take no for an answer so he raped me... over and over again".
Wallace took a deep breath and clenched his jaw, so much anger filled his body. He wanted to bring Blue back to life and kill him slow all over again. "After he was finish he let me know that I was just his dummy in his mission to get close to Stevie. He said that if I warned anyone about what he was up to he would kill everyone... he knew everything about everything and I was so scared. I couldn't risk something happening to anyone because of me" she began to sob harder.Wallace pulled her closer to him and began rubbing her back while she cried on his shoulder. This was the first time she had really let out everything that had happened to her and honestly it was a relief to finally vent. "Kyra this is not your fault" he told her while still holding her, he wanted to be there for her mentality and physically. "I promise you Kyra I'm so sorry for this shit mane and I will never leave you again if you forgive me and allow me to be in ya life again" he said as his cuffed both sides of her face, forcing her to looking at him. She shook her head from side to side "I don't need a pity party Wallace I really don't".
"Ky this ain't no pity I love you and I'm not gonna let nothing else happen to you".
"What about your girlfriend"? she asked in a low voice. Wallace took his thumbs and wiped her tears "I broke up with her because I needed you not her... plus I already know why you left me before... I knew it was because of your father, but I don't care how he feels anymore because I'm gonna be with you whether he agrees or not" he confessed.
"I don't care either nomore because I need you too" she said before leaning in and kissing his lips. Once he realized that she was now on the same page as him, he kissed her back. Not even five minutes after that the two of them were making out on his couch like never before.Meona paced back and forth in the living room while Jamel sat on the arm of the couch watching her with a frown up face. He had told her multiple times that Kyra was fine and probably at Wallace house, but when Kyra didn't return any of her calls or messages she became worried. "Meme would you relax she is with Wallace probably making up and shit" he said chuckling.
Meona faced him with a angry expression "Well I couldn't expect for you to be worried right now because she's my bestfriend".
He laughed "What you mean... Kyra is a friend of mine too".
Just when she was ready to curse him out the front door opened and in walked Kyra and Wallace both smiling from ear to ear. "Really Kyra" Meona said walking up to Kyra who had a confused face.
"What"? Kyra asked.
"Nothing Ky she just hardheaded as shit"Jamel said laughing as he stood up and dapped Wallace up. "My bad Meme I know you were worried and that's why I brought her here". Meona looked over at Wallace "I called her she could have answered" she said still fussing.
"My bad, I was busy" Kyra said with a smirk on her as she looked back at Wallace. "Y'all nasty" Jamel stated as he laughed at the inside joke between the twi of them even Meme didn't find anything funny."I sorry Meme I'll answer next time... But we had alot to talk about far as our relationship and my parents" Kyra said as she sat down on the couch.
"So yall back together"? Jamel asked staring between Wallace and Kyra who both wore grins on their faces.
Kyra nodded her head, but Wallace answered " Yeah we good now".
Meona jumped for joy as she hugged Ky "Yesss bitch I'm happy now".
"I bet you is" Kyra said with a smile. "Yeah but most importantly I need you to go talk to your parents now" Wallace said with a serious face that caused all them to drop their smiles instantly. It was mid afternoon and Kyra found herself walking up on her parent's porch. Patricia in the porch swing doing a crossword puzzle, but as soon as she saw her daughter she jumped up and embraced her with nothing, but love. Words couldn't express how much she missed her child and it hurt her everyday that she was gone and angry at her, but all she wanted to do was make things right. "I missed you mama" Kyra said taking a seat next to her mother.
Patricia smiled "I missed you so much baby and I'm sorry" she said, grabbing her by the hand.
Kyra nodded "I just don't want you be mad at me forever Kyra. I know you may feel like I chose your father over you, but I didn't I just wanted to protect you".
"From what"?
"Ya father's angry ways... I dealt with alot from that man, but he's ya father and I couldn't give up on him like that" Patricia admited as she took a deep breath.
"Why ma, he put you through so much.. how could you stay after all that hurt and abuse"?
Patricia looked her daughter in her eyes "Because believe it or not I'm all he's got" she said with tears in her eyes.
"But he hurt you alot" Kyra said, trying to understand how her mother could be so forgiven.
Patricia nodded "Yes he did... But he's finally seeking the help that he needs and he's very sorry for everything and he misses you so much baby" she said. Truth be told, Ronald had been going to therapy for the past few weeks and him and Patricia had been working on their marriage lately. So far he had been doing his part as a husband, keeping his hands to himself and to top it off he quit drinking the night that Kyra left. When Patricia explained Ronald's new behavior, Kyra was damn near in tears from excitement. She prayed for her father to recover for so long and to hear it come from her mother's mouth meant alot. Just then the house door opened and Ronald stepped out on the porch in a pair of jeans and a muscle shirt. He looked more healthier and cleaner from the last time Kyra had seen him. "I'm sorry Baby" he told Kyra and that's was all she needed to hear before she jumped up and ran into her daddy arms. She missed the old him, and now that he was back and better she knew they could finally rebuild that broken relationship. "I have so much time to make up to you babygirl and I just want you to know that daddy sorry and I'll do anything to make you and ya mama happy again".
"I'm already happy dad" she said hugging him again.
He chuckled and released Kyra "I want you to make up with that Wallace boy and bring him by so we can talk". That was definitely music to her ears because now this trip had became easier. Granted she wasn't moving back in and as they talk she explained that to them and they approved. She let them know that she was safe where she was even though she had left Jamel's house yesterday and moved in with Wallace. It was the best for all of them where as though they would all be happy with their perrsonal lives.
