I stare up at the white ceiling, the pounding in my head sending waves of pain down my spine.

Walker had carried me all the way here, only setting me down when we were rushed to the back of the infirmary.

I could feel his stare, burning on the side of my face, but I refused to look towards him.

I was filled with embarrassment at my little honest comment earlier, and I could stop blushing.

"What does 'five second' Sybil mean, exactly?" He questions me, like he had been trying to figure it out this entire time.

I sigh, knowing he was going to judge me.

"It was my nickname in high school. I could chug a bottle of tequila in five seconds." I mumble, not daring to look at his expression.

I expected him to judge me harshly, and probably call me immature or something.

What I didn't expect, was for him to let out a snort.

My eyes shoot to his face, a look of humor swimming through his eyes as he smirks.

The edge of my lip tilts up at the side, enjoying seeing him with an emotion other than anger.

We stare at each other for another moment, before a knock on the door forces us to look away.

A worried looking Autumn and Kaden rush through the door.

"Oh my god, Sybil! I was so worried when I heard you came in, I rushed down here!" Autumn frowns, her brows furrowed in the middle.

"What did you do this time, Syb?" Kaden shakes his head, looking at the bruises around my face from when I face planted the ground.

I smile at them, "I'm okay, just pissed off the wrong warrior."

Walkers fists crack in the corner at the mention.

"Let me guess, Weber?" Autumn rolls her eyes, crossing her arms with a huff.

Kaden snorts, "That guys needs to lay off the juice."

Autumn nods, pulling out a small pen light from her pocket and conducting various tests on me.

After about five minutes of her asking me to touch my nose and follow her pen light, she shoves it back in her pocket with a sigh.

"You do seem to have a serious concussion, but with your healing, you'll be fine by the morning." She pats my arm, a gentle smile on her face.

She whips around to Walker, and as if she just noticed he was here, her eyes widen momentarily.

"Alpha Walker, it's a pleasure to meet you." She offers her hand, which he shakes once before dropping it.

"Please take care of Sybil, she should be supervised for the rest of the day. Any nausea, spinning, or loss of consciousness—and you bring her straight back here." Autumn instructs him.

Walker nods at her, surprising me.

I didn't think he would want to spend anymore time with me than he absolutely had to.
