Sweet Birthday Gift

You were awoken due to you cheeks being pressed on. You opened your eyes to the sun shining straight to them. After adjusting to the sunlight, you looked to the side to Yena sleeping while facing to the other direction. But you knew that it was her who messed with you.

"Yena~ i know it was you earlier." You said to her while whispering. She didn't give you any response so you decided to get revenge.

You snuggled your face to her shoulder and lightly tickled her. And sure enough she was awake.

"Ya~. Stop it~." She begged you to stop, so you stopped.

"That's what you get for waking me up." She turned her head around to you as she stared at you with her eyes.

"Happy birthday!" She said to you. It didn't even cross your mind that it was your birthday until she congratulated you.

"Thank you, babe." You cuddled with her for a few moments before she decided to get up from the bed.

"Are we gonna go on a date today?" She asked you, as you too decided to get up.

"I have made plans for us tomorrow. Let's just spend the whole day in the house, how about that?"

She nodded, and proceeded to give you a piece of paper.

"What's this?" You take the paper and opened it up. And this is what it read.

"A note that tells you what the prize is for the day! I'll give it to once you figure it out."

Can she even be more silly? This is totally the number of the alphabets. I guess i'll play dumb.

"Jeez... do i have to add all of the numbers? What do i have to do with this?" You asked her, but she playfully sticked her tongue out.

"Figure it out! I'm not gonna give any hints. I'm gonna go cook now, you just go and watch tv."
But you decided to decipher her code first before going down.

"I'll go down soon." She closed the door leaving you with a piece of paper.

You started counting the alphabets trying to figure out what it is.

A.. D...V....C.....K...'s L...I...P...S...

Dvck? Oh, she must've meant to say duck.... She can't even make a riddle correctly.

You chuckled at the fact that your girlfriend made a silly mistake. But that's what made fall for her even more.

After figuring out the code, you opened your phone to a bunch of messages congratulating your birthday. After replying all of the messages, you decided to go down while still holding the paper. And this is where your acting started.

"Babe, please give me a hint. It'll take a day for me to figure this out." You said to her, as she's cooking some bacon and omelette.

"I told you, i'm not going to give any hints~" She playfully teased you. But you decided to play as well. You walked up to her, and hugged her from behind. You were taller than her so you had to bend over more to rest your head on her shoulder.

"Please.." You begged her, as she started to lose focus on her cooking.

"Let go of me, i'm cooking right now. Unless you want your omelette to be crispy black."

Crispy black? Oh she meant burnt....

"No maam." You let go of her, as she continued cooking. You didn't know what to do, so you decided to sit on the couch and play some switch games.

"Honey, it's done!" She told you from the kitchen, you turned it off as you got up from the couch and prepared some plates for her to place her food.

After you both were full, you were back to acting as if you were trying to figure it out. After 2 hours of acting, you decided to check on what she was doing. She was in the middle of her work on the laptop.

"You're working?" You asked her with concern. Today was the weekend and here she is working.

"Something came up, and i had to do this. But it's all done now!" She turned off her laptop, and got off from her chair.

"Have you figured it out yet?" She asked you, but you just playfully shook your head.

"No. This is a hell of a riddle. I'm thinking of calling a professional riddle solver." She hit your left shoulder while laughing. You wanted to tell her that you have figured it out, but you held it in.

"Let's play some games first." She pulled you to the couch, as you turn on the console and start playing some multiplayer game. It was already evening, and you both had squeezed all the fun out of the game.

"You still.... haven't figured it out?" She looked at you looking a little disappointed. You were chuckling inside your head, but you kept a confused face.

"Yeah... it's really hard." You tried sounded convincing. In the end, you cuddled with her on the couch binge-watching some tv shows. The show is called Forgetting brothers. After watching a few episodes you decided to call it a day, and tell her that you already knew since the morning.

"Yena, let's go to sleep." But she didn't reply. Instead, she puts on this pouting face and left you on the couch. You followed her to the bed and usually, she would face towards you. But not this time.

"Babe. What's wrong?" You asked her. She didn't answer again. So you scooted over to her side, hugging her back side.

"Babe. Are you mad that i haven't figured the riddle?" She didn't reply, and kept on giving the silent treatment.

"Babe. Actually i already know the answer since this morning. Turn around so i claim my prize." To your surprise, she did turn around. While still putting on an angry face. You chuckled at her behavior, and pecked her lips.

"You're so cute when you're mad." You said pinching her cheeks.

"Shut up." She told you. But you know she didn't really mean it. You hugged her closer that her face touched your chest.

"You know, you mispelled something. It was supposed to be 21, not 22. It spelled Dvck, like saying a curse word." You heard her chuckle under your chest.

"Also, i don't think your lips is a prize though. Since they were mine to begin with." She cringed at your cheesy words, as she pinched your cheeks before drifting off to sleep together. Although you said that, but really, just spending the whole day with her is more than enough for a prize to you.
