~6 Hours Earlier~
Jimin and Jeongguk were sitting in a café for drinks. Jimin had said there was someone he wanted Jeongguk to meet and no matter how much Jeongguk insisted, Jimin wouldn't let him know who.
After about ten more minutes of waiting, the bell above the door dinged and both the boys looked over.
Jimin's face lit up with a smile and he beckoned the person over. The person in question had blond hair and sharp eyes. He looked a few years older than Jimin and him.
Upon noticing Jimin's waving hand, he walked over with a smile.
Jimin leant up to give him a quick hug which he returned. "What took you so long?," he asked with a small pout, scooting aside on the bench to make place for the other male.
"Sorry, the subway was more crowded than I thought it'd be. You know how it gets at this time," he answered, sitting beside Jimin.
Jimin rolled his eyes with a small smile. "Anyways, meet Jeongguk," he said, gesturing at the younger.
The male reached a hand forward with a smile. "Hey, Jeongguk. I've heard a lot about you."
Jeongguk shook his hand with a nervous smile, never good with new people. "Can't say the same.." he trailed off awkwardly, not knowing the other's name yet.
Jimin heaved an exasperated sigh and threw his hands up dramatically. "You two are equally shit at this, so let me just start over." He schooled his expression into a calmer one. "Yoongi, this is Jeon Jeongguk, my friend, classmate and neighbour. Jeongguk, this is Min Yoongi, my boyfriend."
At that, Jeongguk's world fell apart and came together all the same.
He put on what he hoped was a pleasantly surprised expression, ignoring the absolute havoc his emotions were wrecking in his brain.
"Oh, really? It's really nice to meet you Yoongi-ssi."
Yoongi smiled and waved around a dismissive hand. "Please, just call me hyung."
After that, they ordered drinks and conversation flowed easily. Jeongguk learned that Yoongi is three years older than Jimin and is currently an intern at a law firm.
"How long have you two been together?," Jeongguk asked, stirring his orangeade with straw.
Jimin hummed, absentmindedly playing with Yoongi's fingers where the rested on the table. "About five or six months now?," he answered, looking at the older for confirmation.
Yoongi nodded. "Yeah. It'll be six months next week," he said, linking his fingers with Jimin's almost instinctively.
Jeongguk was kind of surprised to hear that, what with the way the two fit almost perfectly together like two puzzle pieces and worked around each other so well, Jeongguk would have believed them if they'd said they've been together for years.
"And how did you meet?"
"We have a few mutual friends. One of them introduced me to Jimin at a party and well, the rest is history," Yoongi answered, looking at Jimin with a smile.
Jeongguk had found Yoongi to be a very warm person. Initially, he'd come off as a little introverted, like Jeongguk himself, but he's a very interesting person to talk to and Jeongguk thinks he might have gained a new friend.
After finishing their drinks and talking some more, they parted ways. Jimin and Yoongi headed over to the subway station to go to Yoongi's apartment and Jeongguk to his own before heading to work.
On his way, Jeongguk had felt strangely void of all emotions. He doesn't know how to feel just yet.
He sighed. Maybe talking to Taehyung tonight will do him some good.
