Nikasia and Santerion were carefully placed behind a large boulder, perfectly blocking them from the vision of the Thunder army. Nikasia peeked her small head out to see what was happening. A robotic monster was perched on a cluster of rocks, explaining orders to the many troops ahead of him.
"We must eliminate any remaining enemies that stand in our way. Their last blockade will be crushed, and we will finally finish this idiotic war that begun because of the city's incompetent leader. I, Volthar, the lead general of the Thunder army, give you my blessing. We shall not fail," he motivated, raising a metal arm in the air. The soldiers below clenched their fists in unison and bellowed: "LONG LIVE THUNDEER AND HIS MIGHTY THUNDER ARMY!"
"That was very good, thank you," applauded a monster by Volthar's side. He was a green reindeer with a fully exposed skeleton under his skin. He lacked fur, as his green ectoplasmic skin prevented it from growing. His hooves glowed with a yellow aura, sparks surrounding each leg. His skull also sported two massive lightning antlers which were over two feet in length.
"I appreciate your gratitude, my leader," thanked Volthar, bowing lightly to his master. Thundeer smirked, his exposed pointy teeth moving along with his lips.
"We need to move swiftly and with much passion and BLOOD. Yes, thick blood from our enemies will cover the roads ahead because of their actions. Hornet informed me that Taiga had slaughtered his fellow compatriots in the arena to get to where he is today. Those actions should NEVER be tolerated, and certainly not by the Thunder kingdom. The last of his army should be destroyed," gritted Thundeer, passionately clutching his chest with two hooves. His voice reeked with ardor and rasp, most likely from his constant loud tone and enthusiasm.
Two thunder colonels, Eeltron and Olnir spotted movement higher up the mountain.
"We should go investigate, Eel. There could be some enemies up there," suggested Olnir. Eeltron nodded in agreement, his neon tongue practically leaking from his mouth by sheer size.
Nikasia saw the colonels and ducked her head back in fright. Olnir noticed this, brushing back her yellow hair behind her helmet. She summoned a thunder spear and tossed it at the boulder. It became loose, threatening to tumble down with another touch. Nikasia reactively kicked her legs in shock, provoking Santerion to position its hand differently.
"The boulder's falling, they're vulnerable," said Eeltron dully, his five orange beady eyes all staring at the earth ahead. He tossed a flash grenade over the rock, blinding Nikasia, but not affecting Santerion. The boulder continued to tumble, but both colonels dodged the avalanche.
Nikasia motioned for Santerion to run, but was still blinded. She waved her arms around in fear, but the robot was confused by her motions. It stood still, unsure what to do.
"There's a girl, up top," called Olnir, impaling Santerion with an electric spear. The mechanical functions inside of it failed, causing sleep mode to activate. Santerion powered off, releasing Nikasia from its grip.
Olnir caught Nikasia, placing her on the ground harshly. She and Eeltron hovered over the young monster, unsure how to react. Volthar's words echoed in Olnir's mind, pressuring them to kill any members of Taiga's army.
"Why were you hiding, young lady?" she asked, brushing her orange nails across Nikasia's cheek. She began to cry in fear, making Eeltron decide she was with the enemy. He raised an electric sword in the air, ready to strike.
Before her eyes closed forever, Nikasia saw a group of fighters above in the mountains, an assortment of monsters with various weapons. One of them looked furious and sprang off the cliff. The girl then shrieked, distracting Eeltron for a brief second. That second was the difference between life and death.
