Taiga sighed, crouching next to all of the dead bodies scattered around his home. Uriel sat next to him, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"I know you had to do this." she sighed, her accent being one of Taiga's ways to relax.
"I didn't. I could have let them all live." he countered, wiping his bloody hands on a towel.
"It's not like you directly harassed them. They chose to break into our home and paid the price." said Uriel, attempting to reassure Taiga.
"I guess so." he said, starting up the stairs to bed once more. Suddenly, frantic knocks echoed throughout the house.
"Come back another time!" yelled Taiga, uncaringly.
"You better open up, or this spear'll be lodged in your throat!" shouted a harsh and demanding voice. Taiga recognized it in less than a second.
He opened the door to see a grey monster with orange hair standing directly in front of him, along with Kimber slightly behind her.
"What the hell were you thinking!?" yelled Kimber, pushing past Shadow and right against Taiga's face. She breathed intensely and angrily, as Taiga backed away.
"I can-" he started, but Kimber pointed a finger up in the air to silence him.
"You cannot begin to explain what you've done." said Shadow, entering the house with Kimber.
"Is this about the intruders?" asked Taiga, still a bit confused.
"There were multiple intruders?" questioned Shadow, not knowing all the facts.
"They entered the house and tried to harass Taiga and steal our things." said Uriel. "Of course, that didn't go according to their plan." she added.
"I shouldn't have killed them, I know, but killing has been a part of my life for so long. Sparing is still new to me." admitted Taiga. Kimber sighed, cooling down.
"Treezard was my friend and classmate in our school years." said Kimber, referring to her and Shadow. "We were very close."
"I trampled her with my car when you sunk a dagger into her leg." said Shadow.
"I really didn't want to kill her. I just wanted to stop her from stealing my picture." said Taiga.
"Picture?" asked Kimber.
"Taiga has a picture of all of us including Hackster. It's the only memory of him that we have." explained Uriel.
"Is he an old friend?" asked Shadow.
"We fought our way out of the arena together. We couldn't have done it without him." said Taiga.
"That's still no excuse!" yelled Shadow, advancing toward Taiga and Uriel.
"Shadow, there's nothing that can be done." said Kimber, placing a hand on Shadow's shoulder to hint at exiting.
"There is something." said Shadow, looking at Taiga menacingly.
"What's that?" said Taiga, a bit nonchalantly.
"I want to fight you. The one who killed her." she said, putting her hands on Taiga's chest.
"I really don't think that's gonna solv-" started Uriel, but immediately was interrupted by Kimber.
"Shadow, he'll kill you!" she yelled.
"I'm far too powerful to be killed now." bragged Shadow, showing her pointy teeth to Taiga.
"Fine. I'll fight you." sighed Taiga, getting in a fighting stance. He wouldn't really fight her though, he thought. Just enough to satisfy her vengeance needs.
Everyone else in the room backed away as Uriel still tried to reason with everyone to stop all of this. Shadow lunged at Taiga, throwing a few punches and kicks his way, but he blocked them without effort.
"Fight me back!" she shouted, her fist turning into a flame as it collided with Taiga's palm. Nothing. Shadow's skin turned from grey to black, as she grew in size and width. She then slapped Taiga with immense strength, making his head wobble a bit from side to side.
Taiga was done tolerating this, as he kicked the monster into the wall, breaking it. Shadow then fell from the balcony into a mud puddle below.
"She'll be fine." said Taiga, waiting for her to come up. After a few seconds, he felt a presence behind him.
"Is that enough, Shadow?" asked Taiga, as he turned around expecting her to have teleported there somehow. He was instead greeted with a pair of glowing pink eyes.
The monster then hit Taiga with a book at full force, making Taiga stumble out of the broken wall and onto Shadow's unconscious body.
"Shadow!" yelled Kimber, jumping out of the same gap and onto Taiga's back. They both checked Shadow's pulse, which was indeed beating. A monster was staring from the balcony down at Taiga and Kimber, grinning. The monster was then pushed downward by Uriel reluctantly, making it fall on Taiga.
The monster gasped, as Taiga stood up quickly, making it tumble into the road. Taiga and Kimber could now see it was female, and holding an oddly shaped dice in her hand.
"You shouldn't have-" she began, as she was struck by Shadow in her car.
"H-how?!" the monster yelled, getting up from the ground, while slightly limping.
"A simple teleportation spell." said Shadow, trampling her again.
"That does it!" she yelled, lifting the car off the ground telekinetically in anger. She then transformed it into a small house, throwing it at Taiga and Kimber. It collided with Taiga's humongous house, making both of them collapse inward.
"RAAH!" roared Taiga, lifting the smaller house with one hand and throwing it at the monster. She created a pink shield around her whole body, breaking apart the house as it hit.
Kimber then leapt onto the monster, making them both collapse into the road once more. Another car almost rammed into them, but Kimber kicked it, causing it to flip upward in the air and crash. The monster struggled to get out from under Kimber, but ultimately could not. She was instead met with multiple hard punches to the temple and jaw, damaging her face.
Kimber built up one last punch, slamming it down on her skull, but actually hitting the road instead.
"What?" she gasped, feeling the road for any clues as to where the monster had gone.
"That was Dungeon Master." said Uriel, finally joining everyone outside.
"Like in D&D?" asked Shadow.
"What's D&D?" asked Taiga, not processing any of this conversation.
"A roleplaying game where you fight fictional characters, like humans." said Uriel. "Dungeon Master was a menace around twenty years ago, always spreading havoc around the cities."
"I don't know why she decided to invade our house." said Taiga.
"She might be a hitman." said Kimber.
"I really doubt it." declared Shadow, still examining her broken vehicle.
"Whatever she is, I know someone that can help us find out." said Uriel, standing in front of the whole group.
The whole group then said in unison: "Who?"
