It was a deep dark night. Not a soul was seen on the streets. Joseph was all alone, standing in front of a huge gate. He held firmly his torch and read the sign board in front of him.
"Danger"
He knew that his life may end if he continues his adventure, yet, he had no plans to quit. No doubt he was scared, but, his level of curiosity was higher than his level of fear.
Joseph was a 25 year old guy who was working as a pathologist. He had been transferred to a new laboratory in Los Angeles and weeks after he started his job, he frequently got strange cases to handle.
The death rate in his town was getting out of hand. Since he was responsible to carry out the post mortem of every dead person, he noticed that each of them had their brain missing. The brain of each dead persons was uprooted from their head.
Surprisingly, all those victims were identified as very intelligent people of the town. Some were recognised as lawyers, some teachers and some, businessmen.
This information had spread terror in the whole town. The police tried to track the murderer but they couldn't. Weeks passed by and they got another victim. The latter was a police officer who was trying to find the murderer. Joseph examined the body and again, the man's brain was missing.
This time, while carrying out the post mortem, Joseph found fingerprints on the victim's shirt. He had also found leaves of ivy plants. When he told the police department about those evidences, they looked creeped out.
"The only place where ivy plants are grown is at the abandoned house which is found at the end of the street. No one goes there. It is said to be haunted." One of the officer said.
"Haunted? Maybe someone is trying to scare us." Joseph said.
"No. The police had surrounded that place years ago. They all were dead. No one returned. Since then, that house has been abandoned. No one goes there." The officer replied.
"So you are not going to do anything about this?" Joseph asked.
"We can't go there. No one is allowed too. It is too dangerous." The officer replied.
They decided to close the case.
However, the story of the abandoned house had caught the attention of Joseph.
He was now standing in front of the gate of that house, swallowing his fear down his throat.
He opened the gate and walked in. He could only hear the echoes of his footsteps and the beats of his heart. The house had no doors and no windows. As he went inside the house, he started to feel uneasy because of some pungent smell. The atmosphere was filled wth the smell of raw meat. There was no furniture in the house. He entered a place which looked like a room. In there stood a mirror, a broken chair and on the ground there was a piece of cloth which looked pretty much like a sheet. As he walked in the pungent smell intensified. Joseph saw a curtain. He walked towards the curtain slowly and peeked through it. He saw a bathtub. The smell was now unbearable. Joseph had to close his nose with his fingers. He walked towards the bathtub and as soon as he reached close to it, his hair stood on its end. He felt a chill down his spine. His eyes started to become teary and he started to pray for his life as he watched all those brains that were in that bathtub.

He wanted to scream but fear didn't allow him to. He took out his mobile immediately to take a picture but he was so terrified that he losed control of his hands and his mobile fell in the bathtub.
Realizing that he is in extreme danger he decided to run away for his life. He turned back to leave that creepy house but it was too late. Death waited for him.
An old man with grey hair and grey beard stood in front of him. He had dirty, yellow teeth and he looked homeless. His eyes were terrifying. His right eye was green while his left eye was brown.
"Who...who..are..you?" Joseph stammered.
"I don't know." The creepy man replied.
"I know who you are. You are a murderer. You killed all those people and took their brains out." Joseph screamed with fear. He felt his knees trembling. He wanted to run but couldn't.
"How did you know?" The man asked. His face had no expression.
"I found your fingerprints and ivy leaves of the officer you killed!" Joseph replied.
"I see you got brains." The man said.
After hearing him say the word "brain", Joseph was filled with terror.
The man started to walk towards Joseph. The latter was freaked out and started to step back. The man didn't stop. Joseph lost control of his body and fell into the bathtub full of brains.
He screamed with fear!
"Let me go!"
Next, he felt the hand of the man grabbing his head.
