Feetorous

My mom always narrated me the story of the feetorous.

She told me that the feetorous is a little devil who eats your feet at night. Feetorous has pointed teeth and pure white eyes. She eats feet of kids by tearing them apart with her teeth and chew them with all her strengths. I was scared and never wanted to lose my feet.

My mother told me that the only way to save my feet from her is by washing them well before going to sleep. Hence, I used to wash mine every night! I was safe.

I was safe until the night I was spending the night with my scout team.

After a hard day of nonstop trekking, we decided to set our camp and take some rest. It was already night and we were all getting ready to sleep. I had no water left in my bottle to wash my feet so I asked one of my friends.

"Why do you need water?" He asked.

"I need to wash my feet." I replied.

"But they are not dirty." He said.

"I know but I need to wash them. I don't want my feet to get eaten by feetorous." I explained.

My friend stared at me and I figured out he didn't know about the feetorous. I narrated to him everything I knew on the feet eater devil.

To my surprise, he started laughing and mocking me.

"I can't believe you! There exist no feet eater, no feetorous." He said as he laughed again and again.

After he finished laughing, he told me to go and sleep without washing my feet and I'll be over this scary story when I'll find out that no feetorous ate my feet during the night.

I was scared to do so, but then my friend challenged me.

I accepted. I went to sleep without washing my feet.

I was sleeping well in my tent when suddenly I felt a breeze touching my legs. It was warm. I felt something scratching through my feet, something pointy. Immediately, that thought of the feetorous came on my mind.

Fear took control on my body. I opened my eyes slowly and I saw her.

Feetorous was not a myth. She was standing in front of me, near my feet. I saw blood dripping from her mouth. I saw her pointy teeth.

I screamed but my voice wasn't coming out

I screamed but my voice wasn't coming out. I got up from the bed quickly but as I tired to stand up, I fell on the ground. That's it. I realized that I will never be able to stand or walk anymore.

My feet were gone.
