Chapter 9

I gave a smile towards Peter " We should go to dinner right about now " I said softly towards Mr.Stark and Peter and walked out of the room.

Third Person Point of View.

Percy walked out of Peter's room and took a few steps and lingered outside the room in the hallway until Mr.Stark and Peter came out too. When Peter came out of the room Percy gave him a small smile reassuring Peter that he's alright.

Percy and Peter followed Mr.Stark to back to the living room.

It was a vast room, the room had curved glass windows which New York City Skyline."This is the Common Room " Percy heard Tony say to Peter. The room consisted of a mix of rooms, It had a kitchen section which had a kitchen bar, etc.., a dining section which had a table and chairs around it and the living section which had couches/sofas, beanbags, a coffee table, 82-inch Plasma Screen, Gaming Console, etc...

Percy realized once he entered the room that they were the last ones to arrive. Percy felt slightly uncomfortable at being around a lot of people he's not familiar with, but he didn't show it. He stood there at the entrance of the room and didn't realize that Tony and Peter had moved a little further into the room.

Until Peter called out to him softly "Perce" waited for Percy to catch up to him, Peter was slightly nervous and excited that he was going be around so several Avengers and he's very looking forward to spending time with Mr.Stark but at the same time, he was a little worried for Percy because he seemed tense.

Peter and Percy watched as Mr.Stark walked up to a counter which Percy then realized it was where the dinner(food), plates, utensils were kept.

Tony started serving himself a plate when realized that Peter and Percy weren't serving themselves. Tony gestured his hand towards the food spread out on the counter and said to them "Help yourself boys" then took a seat next to Rhodey.

Percy served himself a small portion of food since he can't digest too much food because of his time in Tartarus. Percy took a seat next to Peter who sat to Mr.Stark and on the other side of Percy sat Mr.Clint Barton who gave him an amused smile when he sat down which he returned with a small polite smile.

Clint watched as Percy sat down next to and noticed that Percy had taken very little food and decided to keep an eye on Percy for a little while. Clint was a bit interested as Percy was quiet and have unusual powers
and his attention to small details that most people won't notice.

Dinner started quietly peaceful but there was a slight tension in the air as the last time all of them were together they were fighting with each other but as minutes passed they started to engage with each other having conversations.

Bucky who was sitting next Steve asked "How did you two get your powers" looking pointedly at Peter and Percy. Everyone went silent because they were also interested while Steve quietly hissed "Bucky" to him."What, I am sure everyone is interested to know" replied Bucky who was going to say something else but he was interrupted by Peter.

"It's fine, Mr.Rogers and Mr.Barnes I can tell you...." said Peter and trailed off when he glanced at Bucky and noticed he was shaking his head.

"Call me Bucky or James, and you can call him Steve," said Bucky while pointing at Steve when he said the last piece.

Peter nodded his head explained " I received my powers/abilities when I was bitten by a radioactive spider and received Super Strength, Speed, Agility, Reflexes "

" That's fascinating ways to obtain your powers," said T'challa.

" What about you kid," asked Sam while glancing at Percy.

Percy who was following their exchange quietly knew that someone would ask him signed and said " I was born with it, I don't know how exactly..." That was not precisely true as he knew exactly where he got his powers from but he didn't want to explain his heritage as he didn't trust them fully yet.
" I found out, I had them when my friend was bullied and the person who bullied him was standing next to a fountain. I got angry that I went blank for a second next thing I know is that the water yanked her and dropped her in the fountain" proceeded Percy while staring at his plate.

There was a hush in the room for a second until it was shattered by Tony who chuckled and said " That would have been awesome to see, Percy " while giving Percy a smirk. The others seemed to have amused smiles on their faces. Percy didn't say anything just gave him a smile but his smile dropped when he recalled what happened to the rest of Seven.

Clint was only beside Steve and Tony who saw this change as the rest of them resumed to their conversations.

After that dinner continued on with everyone having conversations with each other beside Percy who was really reserved and only spoke when somebody asked him a question. They(Author's Note: Avengers excluded Peter) noticed that Percy wasn't comfortable around them so they allow Percy to have some time to adapt.

Whereas Peter was positively engaged with them especially with Tony and was excited and eager to spend more time with his mentor and the rest of the Avengers.

Percy's Point of View.

After Dinner was wrapped up and plates and dishes were put away. I stood up from where I was sitting and watched the others migrate towards the living room section. They were conversing with each other and doing their own thing.

I wanted to go back to the room I was dwelling in, I wanted to distance myself from them because I didn't want them to get hurt because of me. I glanced at Peter who was excitedly talking with Mr.Stark about the upgrades that can be made to Peter's suit. Peter looked so happy so I didn't disturb him.

I quietly slipped out of the room without anyone noticing and into the hallway. I walked some distance when I heard " Do you need any help? Percy" the voice asked after a second I realized that it was F.R.I.D.A.Y, Mr.Stark's AI who basically runs this place. I looked at the nearest camera and said " No Thanks F.R.I.D.A.Y, I am simply exhausted so I am heading to the room to rest " and wandered to the room.
