POV Kyler
I did not want to overwhelm her so I kept quiet about the mate part at first. She needed to calm down before more damage was done.
"I'm going to get you a cup of water, okay? You have to stay here."
No one's POV
As Kyler went out of the room he already had the feeling of missing his mate.
Having spent such a long time only by her side and worrying constantly about her health had strengthened his side of the bond to an extent not imaginable to any other being.
Kyler took a deep breath and went to get water. The more he walked away from his soulmate the more ached his heart and he got an uneasy feeling. His wolf was not helping at all. The minute they stepped away from their love he was pacing and panicking.
It was kind of seen to why. He had time to really get into the mating situation.
In Kylers world the most important time for mates were the first three weeks. They set the pace and closeness the ongoing relationship would offer. And due to the fact that for half of that time spent already they had touch her constantly, 24 hours a day with only short times of separation for his wolf it was clear that he would get to spend every second of his on going life glued to his one and only.
Now that Kyler thought about this he was very unsure if it was a good or bad thing.
He didn't even know her name yet! She didn't know him at all and still his wolf was already getting into this on going state. Him being an Alpha AND lycan didn't make the situation any better. In fact lycans were known to be even more possessive than normal werewolves and alphas had an enormous amount of jealousy and possessiveness in their DNA.
Would she even want that? Aren't humans the type to want privacy and alone time? Oh no, what had he gotten them into?
Feeling bad for his mate he hurried to get her the water.
Confused she looked at him as he stormed in and reached out his arm for her to grab the glass. What was the hurry?
Thousands of questions in her mind she took it out of his hand and gulped the water down.
That felt good!
"Thank you." she rasped out and looked down again. Better not provoke him.
As he got closer again she slightly moved back.
It felt like a shot to the heart for him and she gasped out, hands against her chest, the glass now laying on the blanket.
"What was that?" She mumbled to herself and Kyler began to feel bad. As soon as they were out of this awful place and back in his home he would tell her all she needed to know.
But first he had to ask the most important questions.
"What's your name?" Surprised Violet looked up at the man in front of her. Only now she started to notice how handsome he looked. His eyes, his stubble, the messy looking hair. Wow.
She contemplated on whether to answer or not. Whyever she was here it couldn't be a good thing so what could they do if they had her name?
Sighing she chose to just answer. A little and strange part told her she could trust him. "I am Violet."
