Family Dinner

-Three Weeks Later-

-Dani-

I'm in the kitchen helping my mom make biscuts for dinner my dad, and my brothers Hunter and Aaron are coming for dinner and my mom is freaking out. The doorbell rings my mom goes and answers it. Soon I hear a familiar voice I turn around and see Santana looking very nice in a blue dress, she is wearing black heels, and her hair is curled a little. My mom let me invite her to the dinner cause she is like family to us.

Santana: I know that I'm early.

Helen: And that's okay here.

My mom tosses her a apron.

Helen: You can help us in the kitchen.

Santana: Okay.

Santana puts the apron on and starts helping us. Soon the food is done and everyone is here. My dad is sitting next to Aaron he is sitting next to me Santana is sitting on the other side of me. Hunter is sitting next to our mom.

Hank: So how's school going boys?

Aaron: Its going good.

Hunter: Yeah its going good.

Hank: That's good I saw your hockey game the other day Hunter and you did a fantastic job.

Hunter: Thank you dad

Hank: Of course I'm always proud of my sons.

Helen: And what about our daughter Hank?

Hank: You already know how I feel about her.

Dani: And how do you feel dad?

Hank: Disappointed, disgusted, and I can't stand being in the same room as you.

Helen: Hank!

Hank: What?! You know her lifestyle is disgusting and I do not accept it and I never will. One other thing what makes you think that you can invite your dyke of a girlfriend here she isn't family.

I slam my fists on the table causing the cups to rattle.

Dani: That word is offensive and I will not sit here and let you call my girlfriend that. You can call me it all you want but not her you don't even know her. One other thing dad I love her and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it because your opinion doesn't matter to me!

I get up causing the chair to tip over and leave the room.

-Santana-

I watch Dani leave I can't believe how her dad is I take the napkin from my lap and wipe my mouth a little.

Santana: Dinner was great Helen but, I think that I should go.

I get up and leave.

-Hallway-

I look around to see if I can find Dani I don't see her anywhere. I decide to walk up the stairs and I look in Dani's room she isn't there but her window is open I step into her room I walk to the window and look out and see her sitting on the roof. I take my shoes off and climb out of the window.

-Outside-

I get to her and sit next to her she looks at me she has tears coming down her face.

Dani: I'm s...

I cut her off my kissing her.

Santana: You don't have to be sorry Dani.

She sniffs I reach out and wipe her tears away she grabs my hand.

Dani: I'm really glad that I met you.

Santana: I'm glad that I met you too

Dani: And what my dad said about you not being family it isn't true you're more like family to me than he ever will be.

Santana: And you're like family to me too.

Dani: I was going to wait until after dinner to give you this but seeing that we are on a roof with the sunsetting I think that its a good time to give it to you.

I raise my eyebrow is she going to propose to me oh my God we are way to young for that. She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a long box (One that would hold a necklace) she hands me the box and I open it I gasp its a necklace that is a key that has diamonds on it.

Dani: My grandpa gave my grandma that necklace when they were our age. He told my grandma "This key is the key to my heart" before my grandma passed she handed me this necklace and told me to give it to someone who I love and cherish so, just like my grandpa said to my grandma "This key is the key to my heart"

I feel tears running down my face I sniff and wipe the tears away. I kiss her and she kisses me back.

I know its a short chapter but I wanted to do something sweet. I'm going to be doing a few more chapters to this story than it will be the sequel.
