HANAKO-KUN_7: What do you do on dates anyway? Something. . .(͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) what if he's your soulmate!?

RadishLegs: good afternoon to you, too

RadishLegs: well it's definitely not what you're thinking

RadishLegs: besides, Fuji-kun has made eye contact with me lots of times, but i still see black and white

HANAKO-KUN_7: Ah

HANAKO-KUN_7: That's completely fine!

HANAKO-KUN_7: We don't really need colors

HANAKO-KUN_7: I'm okay with seeing black and white

RadishLegs: are u really?

HANAKO-KUN_7: No ;;

HANAKO-KUN_7: I mean who is?

HANAKO-KUN_7: We all want to see colors. We get envious of our friends who are able to see the world as something more than variations of black and white.

HANAKO-KUN_7: But sometimes

HANAKO-KUN_7: I just give up, you know?

RadishLegs: I don't really,,,,know

RadishLegs: I don't understand when people give up on finding their soulmates

RadishLegs: they're not too late! They can still find love

RadishLegs: i admit that

RadishLegs: i am very bitter when it comes to the topic of soulmates

RadishLegs: but don't you think it's exciting?

RadishLegs: the constant feeling of questions nagging in your mind or something

HANAKO-KUN_7: "Or something"

RadishLegs: what if i meet them today? Idk

RadishLegs: I'd do anything for love...

HANAKO-KUN_7: Haha of course you would

HANAKO-KUN_7: It's because...

HANAKO-KUN_7: Sometimes, for some people, love isn't the most important thing for them

HANAKO-KUN_7: And it really isn't. Finding your significant other isn't that important

RadishLegs: what are you trying to say?

HANAKO-KUN_7: Family, friends. Don't they also make you feel the same amount of happiness?

HANAKO-KUN_7: Take our friendship for example

HANAKO-KUN_7: We met anonymously, through accident

HANAKO-KUN_7: I don't know what you look like, who you really are

HANAKO-KUN_7: But I wouldn't trade this friendship for the world

RadishLegs: oh... (*ノ∀'*)

HANAKO-KUN_7: What's that? Are you blushing????

RadishLegs: I guess I really like talking to you, too

RadishLegs: i enjoy talking to you

HANAKO-KUN_7: I'm glad

HANAKO-KUN_7: Just remember, if you need someone, I'm here okay?

RadishLegs: okay <3

Yashiro tucked her phone away, a giddy smile on her face, her heart beating erratically. What's making her feel this way? What's making her smile so wide her cheeks start to hurt?

Is it from her conversation with Hanako? They did talk about soulmates, after all. Yashiro either used to avoid the topic, or only talk about soulmates; but after everything Hanako said, maybe, just maybe, there's something more than just a simple red string tied onto two persons — it's the bond between two people.

No, Yashiro told herself.

It's probably because Fuji-kun asked her to meet him by the the Big tree later after school.

Of course, Yashiro being Yashiro, already assumed what's about to come. She couldn't help but giggle. The Big tree is also known as the Confession Tree, so if Fuji asked her there, then that can only mean one thing — a confession, duh. Yashiro is just being logical here. (Okay, maybe a little bit cocky, but still logical).

Finally, Yashiro reached the Big tree— no, the Confession Tree. Heart throbbing, she called out his name in a shy whisper.

Fuji turned around, his green eyes glinting. "Ah, Yashiro. Hi!"

Yashiro nervously laughed. "Hi, Fuji-kun. Is there something wrong?"

Fuji ran a hand through his brown locks, a cheeky smile placed on his lips that Yashiro adored a long time ago. It used to make Yashiro's heart flutter, so why isn't she feeling anything now?

Because he broke your heart, and you know that, the voice in the back of Yashiro's mind.

But who cares about that? Past is past.

"Yashiro," Fuji began, a charming grin (that doesn't quite feel right) on his face making Yashiro mentally squeal. "I like you. Go out with me?"

Yashiro waited a few seconds. She forced herself not to blurt out yes! the moment he confessed — no, that would ruin everything.

She opened her mouth to speak, but something stopped her. She doesn't know what, a sudden flurry of thoughts hit her mind, all saying:

What would happen if he's really your soulmate?

What would happen if your soulmate is the one confessing?

What if your soulmate is right there and you're wasting your time over this?

"I. . .yes, I would love to," Yashiro answered, yet her voice lacked enthusiasm.

Fuji didn't seem to notice, though, because he cheered and hugged Yashiro, a huge smile on his face. Yashiro didn't hug him back.

Why aren't you happy?

That question was stuck in her mind the whole day. She couldn't sleep again.
