I hope all of you are safe during these times. I urge you to please stay inside so all of this can pass quickly, and if you do have to go out, please be safe. Seeing as we are to stay inside, do not be afraid to request a story! Sorry this took a while. My school has loaded us down with work while we've been out. Even took our spring break. Also, feel free to check out "Butterfly" by @Iccer_74 for a hilarious story featuring BTS! Also check out my new book! If you would like my baked macaroni recipe used in this, I will be glad to share it with you! :) Cooking lessons with River!

"Baby! I found a couple steaks in the freezer! We should grill them for supper!" Namjoon shouts from the kitchen.
"Yes! Finally some real food!" I say as I happily walk to the kitchen.
"We don't have any macaroni or corn but we can make mashed potatoes with the potatoes in the fridge before they go bad," he says as he pulls them out and sets them in the sink.
We live pretty far out and our neighbors are a good ways away from us so it should be ok to grill on the patio. The one good thing about being quarantined is that I get to spend time with Namjoon, which means its never boring. Yesterday we made a campfire in our backyard and roasted marshmallows.
"We do have plain noodles though, and we have block cheese in the fridge. We could make homemade macaroni," I suggest.
'I love your homemade macaroni. Actually, I just love you in general," he says before patting me on the head and smiling his precious bear smile.
"I love you too, Joon," I say, smiling as I grab the box of noodles from the pantry.
After grabbing a pot from the bottom cabinet, I fill it with water and place it on the stove. and Namjoon begins to marinate the raw steaks. Once it begins to boil, I dump the noodles in the pot, add salt, and stir before making my way to the refrigerator. I grab the milk, butter, and cheese and step back over to the counter. Namjoon sets the mixing bowl, measuring cups, and flour beside me and trails off into the living room. Just when I thought he had left to go watch tv or something, he returns with his phone and plays my favorite song on full volume. I smile and sing along as I take the whisk and begin to mix the milk, flour and butter.
"Joon, will you please toast the bread? Use the one closest to expiring, please," I ask as I check the noodles.
He nods and grabs the bread from the pantry. The noodles were soft, but they need to cook a little more. With this begin said, I now have time to shred the cheese. The cheese shredder was in the very top cabinet, and even though I have a step stool, I can't reach it. Namjoon giggles and reaches above me to retrieve the shiny metal shredder. I thank him and begin to shred the cheddar cheese into a bowl. A lot of cheese is used in this recipe, but it's worth it.
Once the cheese is shredded, I check the noodles once again. They are fully cooked, meaning that it's time to drain them. As I drain the noodles, Joon sticks the steaks in the refrigerator to chill until they are ready to be grilled.
"Hey, Y/n," he says from behind me.
"Yeah?" I say as I turn around, only to be greeted by a puff of flower on my face.
"You're so cute," he laughs as I stand there dumbfounded.
Oh it's on now.
I smirk as I stick my hand in the flower and throw a handful at him, making him appear white as a ghost. He laughs harder and pulls me into a hug.
"I love you, my cute flour covered baby," he says as he rubs his nose against mine.
"I love you too, you big teddy bear. Now help me finish this macaroni," I say, turning back to the counter and brushing the flour off my face.
After getting the casserole dish from under the counter, he pours some of the noodles along the bottom of the pan. I throw a layer of the cheddar cheese on top of the noodles and when the next layer is on, I throw on some Montery Jack cheese. After repeating this process one more time, it's time to pour the milk mixture over the dish. On top of everything, Namjoon throws some chopped up toast on to top it off.
"We forgot to preheat the oven," I say, mentally face palming.
"It'll be ok. That just means more time for the steaks to marinate," he says as he snakes his arms around my waist and hugs me from behind.
"True," I say, making sure to turn the oven on this time.
"It's kinda chilly outside. Do you want to wear one of my hoodies? We can even start a little campfire if you want," he says.
"Sure. Have you let Monnie out lately?" I ask as I mosey into the living room.
''Not lately. Do you wanna walk him with me real quick while the oven preheats?" he asks before picking up his hoodie off the chair and tossing it to me.
"Sure. I love that dog," I say as I slip the gray sweatshirt over my head.
"Monnie! Let's go out!" Joon yells, causing the white ball of fur to come running.
I giggle as I open the sliding glass door and step out, Monnie and Joon trailing behind me. The evening sky was a beautiful shade of orange and small, puffy clouds were scattered among the beautiful array of color. The cool air begins to take over the once warm weather as night approaches. Monnie barks and dashes across the yard, jumping and twisting around as he played.
"Do you wanna sit out here and grill with me?" he asks, watching the fluffy dog play.
"Yes. Let me go put the macaroni in the oven and I'll bring the steaks out," I say as I turn and trail back into the house.
Just as I arrive into the kitchen, the oven makes a high pitched beeping noise, signaling that it is actually preheated this time. With the help of a pot holder, I slide the dish into the oven and close it. After grabbing the steaks, a plate, spatula, fork, and my phone, I return to the patio, but Namjoon is nowhere to be seen. Monnie is chasing a dragonfly without a care in the world.
  "Joon?" I call out,
  No answer.
Starting to get worried, I set my things down and frantically look around. Without warning, a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist and lift me off the ground. I yelp and nearly elbow my "attacker" in the face, but the person falls back onto the patio bench with me still in their grasp.
"Hey, beautiful," Namjoon's voice suddenly rings out from behind me.
"Namjoon! Really?" I say, feeling relief but also a tinge of irritation because he deliberately scared me.
  "What?" he laughs.
I sigh and get up from the bench. Monnie comes running to me with his green ball, signaling he wants me to throw it. I take the slobber covered toy and throw it across the yard. I chuckle as he runs after it.
Namjoon stands up from the bench and steps over to the grill. After heating up the grill and throwing the steaks on, he pulls the bench over and sits down, motioning for me to do the same. I sit beside him and am immediately pulled close to him. His arm finds its way around my shoulders and pulls me close to his side. The warmth from him feels nice against the cool evening air. Monnie runs back over to us and sits his ball down before curing up beside the bench.
"How long until the macaroni will be done?" he asks.
"About an hour," I respond as I intertwine our fingers.
"Perfect. I can slow cook the steaks," he says, squeezing my hand lightly.
Just as nightfall approaches, Namjoon's phone rings. He takes it out of his pocket, only to see that it's our neighbor, Jimin. You never know what to expect from him. He swipes answer and puts it on speaker before talking.
"Hello?" he says.
"Joon! You gotta help me man," he says urgently.
"What's up?" he says as he puts his finger to his lips, signaling for me to be quiet.
"I'm out of toilet paper! And I ate tacos and beans for supper!" Jimin yells.
I crack a smile and try not to laugh, as does Joon.
"Jimin, we're out too," he says, playing a joke on him.
"No! You can't be! The stores are sold out and I can't ask Miss Jisoo!" he says. Miss Jisoo is the next house down from his.
"What about Kai? He's right across the street from you," he suggests.
"He said no! Only because I accidentally opened his package in the mail one time! Joon please I'm about to crap my pants!" Jimin says, almost freaking out.
"You're outta luck, buddy," he says, trying to stifle his laughs.
"Why couldn't I have gotten a bidet instead of the smart tv," he whines, audibly facepalming himself.
"I'm just messing with you bro. You can have two rolls, but then you gotta figure out how you can buy that bidet," he says, finally releasing his cute laughs.
"You little-" Jimin trails off before hanging up.
I laugh as Joon gets up to go grab the toilet paper, with Monnie following him inside. In the distance, a door slams. I look in that direction and see a figure emerging from the darkness. As soon as Namjoon gets back outside, Jimin comes stumbling onto our patio with sweat dripping down his forehead. This boy ran all the way from his house to ours, which is about a third of a mile. Joon tosses it to him and sits back down beside me.
"You. Are. A. Life. Saver. Thank you," he says before turning and running back towards his house. Wait, is that running or waddling?
We both laugh as we watch him run/ waddle back to his house and stumble into the door. Namjoon opens the grill and checks the steaks before settling into his spot on the bench next to me.
After the steaks are finished cooking, we head back inside just in time to hear the oven beep. With the help of two potholders, I get the perfectly browned dish out of the oven and onto the stove. Once everything is settled, Monnie has been fed, and we have fixed our plates, we head to the living room. We could eat in the dining room, but it's just more comfortable in the living room.
Namjoon grabs the remote and flicks on the tv before going to Hulu and browsing through the shows. After what feels like hours of scrolling, we finally decide on a show called "Rizzoli and Isles". I had heard it's good and have been meaning to watch it, so I guess quarantine is the best way to.
A few minutes later, we finish our food and I go to get up.
"It's ok. I can get it," he says, putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Are you sure?" I can do it. It's no problem," I say.
"Yeah. Just tell me what Jane does," he says with a smile.
I return his smile and turn back to the tv as he takes the dishes to the sink. After a few moments, Namjoon returns to the couch with a blanket. He sits down beside me and throws the blanket over us.
I lay my head on his shoulder as he wraps his arm around me, pulling me closer. Even if we are under quarantine, cuddles are mandatory.
Moments later, my eyes grow heavy as the world of sleep attempts to pull me in.
"I love you, baby," Namjoon says before kissing my forehead.
"I love you too," I say, finally giving in to sleep.
