2gether: Our Side of Story

There's a boy sitting beside the window. His name is Tine. Fair complexion, hair parted in the middle and wearing thick eye glasses. He's quietly reading his book while his surrounding making such a mess because currently there's no teacher around. Some of his classmates throwing paper planes inside their classroom, some of the girls busy putting make-up on their faces and some loudly chatting. And there's this guy usually bringing his guitar, his name is Sarawat. The one who he believes is an exact opposite of him.

Compare to him, Sarawat is a cool, heartthrob guy who wants to be friend by anyone. He was known not only by their classmates, but the whole campus. He often received a lot of love letters and confessed a hundred times already.

Sarawat is sitting near the classroom door, playing his guitar while his friends surrounding him singing the song he was playing. At the other side of the classroom, Tine always by himself. It's not necessarily mean he wanted to be alone. It's just that he feels very shy whenever someone approach him and he doesn't get the courage to approach anyone, like he doesn't know what to talk about. And somehow, his classmates saw him as one of the nerds being a book lover and at the same time wearing thick eyeglasses .So, it's like awkwardness from both ends.

At the cafeteria, even if Tine has no interest in Sarawat at all, he couldn't help to know what's going on with the guy.

He heard girls screaming, he averted his eyes to the sudden loudness, then there is Sarawat. Girls again approached him. Giving him snacks and deserts. Who knows if Sarawat could be able to finish it all.

Tine watched those giggling girls thinking if it was him in Sarawat's shoes, would he be able to date those type of girls? Is Sarawat being lucky that he could be easily surrounded by girls?

Tine never dated a girl before. He has never been in love in the first place. And looking at those girls, he thought maybe those were not his type of girl.

...

On the hallway going to the library, Tine suddenly heard, "Sarawat! Please go out with me!..."

Tine looked at the place only a few steps away from him where the voice coming from. He saw Sarawat and the back of the girl who obviously confessing her love to the handsome guy, handing probably a box of chocolate to the guy who is now staring back at him.

Tine didn't know if he will withdraw his gaze but it feels like he was being drawn to Sarawat's big eyes. He did not stop walking and gazed fixated to meet Sarawat's gaze along the way.

Suddenly, Sarawat answered, "Sorry." not looking at the girl in front of him. He continue, "I like someone else.", still looking at Tine who's passing by.

When Tine already passed the scene, he then averted his eyes to look ahead and started feeling his heartbeat. He suddenly felt nervous as his heart busy beating faster than usual. It was the first time for him and Sarawat met each other's gaze. And he admit, "Sarawat is really handsome. No wonder girls keep on pursuing him." he mumbles to himself.

When Tine going inside their classroom he unconsciously looked at Sarawat's seat and saw him looking at him as well. He averted his eyes in an instant.

"Why is he looking at me?... Is he really looking at me?..." Tine thought feeling paranoid because maybe he was just walking inside that caught Sarawat's attention.

Tine's seat was on the same row with Sarawat only they are seated on each sides of the classroom.

The teacher was discussing in front of the class when Tine unconsciously looked at his right side and make a second look when he notice Sarawat was looking at his side and Sarawat is really looking, directly at him not averting his serious gaze.
