Alfred and I came home a small time after sunrise. I didn't think I'd miss my father that much, but the second my eyes set on the rock with his initials on it...I couldn't hold myself together. I told Alfred I wanted to go get some sleep and see if Cheryl had woken up. I went and knocked on her bedroom door, no reply. I quietly opened the door and saw my beloved past out on her bed. I smiled to myself and walked over to the sleeping beauty. I gently moved a piece of hair from her face, she's so beautiful. How can someone be this beautiful? I leaned down and kissed her softly. I turned to leave but something grabbed my hand softly and I turned back.
"Well good morning, Prince Charming." She smiled. I chuckled and walked back.
"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty." She moves from her spot on the bed and made room for me. I got in and under the blankets, good lord her bed is warm.
"How was your trip?" She said snuggling into my side. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her as close to me as I could.
"It was alright, I was kind of a mess before Alfred came. I just felt angry, my father and I always went and he wasn't there to put a rock on his pile." I didn't notice how quite my words were, she ran her fingers through my hair trying to calm me.
"I'm sorry you had to go through that, bruce. Do you regret going?" She said softly and I shook my head.
"No, I needed the closure. My time with Alfred was fun as well, until I fell down a hill." I chuckled and she laughed that adorable laugh. I can't even begin to explain how much I love her. My beloved.
"Bruce, I love you but you need to shower." She jokes and I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her gently so she was on top of me.
"Would you like to join me, beloved?" I smirked and she only smiled at me.
"As much as I would like to, I have to call my dad. He has a new girlfriend or something." She smirked and got off me.
~Cheryl's POV~
"Hey dad what's up?" I answered the call and sat on the bench outside of my room.
"Hey kiddo, I was wondering if you would like to join me and Lee at the carnival tonight?" He asked. Lee must be his new girlfriend.
"Sure, can Bruce come with me?" I asked.
"Sure, dress warm it should be cold out. We will see you at 6." He responded and I nodded.
"Ok see you tonight. Bye." I hung up and went back to my room. Bruce just walked out with a towel around his waist and looked up with me as he ran his hand through his wet dark hair.
"So, we're going out with my dad and his girlfriend tonight." I said trying to avoid staring at him, ok wet hair is very girl's weakness so don't judge me there!
"Alright, sounds like a wonderful time." He walked up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my head, "I have a meeting soon, I'll catch up with you after alright?" I nodded and he smiled.
"Ok ok, go get dressed." I playfully pushed him away. He smirked and walked away. Wait, what am I going to wear?! I took a shower and blow dried my hair and went to my closet. What to wear?

Bruce said he had a meeting so I cleaned my room up a bit and watched Hamilton, gotta love that. Peggy is such a mood tho. Two hours passed and I got bored, Bruce is probably back by now.I went back to Bruce's room and he was dressed and putting gel in his hair, I walked up behind him and ruffled his hair giggling.
"Cheryl!" He said surprised as I continued to giggle, he smirked and picked me up and dropped me on his bed as I continued to giggle. He kissed me and stopped my giggling, "As much as I love to hear your beautiful giggle, don't mess up my hair darling." He chuckled.
"Ok ok, I won't." He smiled down at me and kissed me again. God damn I love this boy.
"Almost time to go?" He asked and I stood up from his bed. He walked back and finished his hair, I walked over and stood behind him in the mirror.
"Yeah, Alfred is driving us and we'll meet my dad and his new girlfriend. Apparently he dated some person named Barbra and they broke up and now he's with the pathologist at the GCPD." I replied and he turned back to me offering his arm.
"Shall we, my love?" He asked smiling and put my arm in his.
"We shall." I smiled back and we walked downstairs to Alfred who was waiting by the door for us.
"Ah, lovely. Let's go kids, spit spot." He opened the door for us and I smiled to him and he gave me a wink. Lemme just say it, Alfred is the cutest old man ever. Ok people yes I'm weird but old people are cute. Bruce opened my door and I got in with him following. We drove through Gotham city to the circus, odd place to meet someone. Alfred parked and had us get out, I spotted my dad and ran over to him and hugged him.
"Hey kiddo, I want you to meet Leslie Thompkins. Lee, this is my daughter Cheryl." My dad introduced, Lee was a tall woman. Short dark hair, lean figure, I looked over at my dad and he was all smiles. Good job lady, you made the grinch smile.
"Hello Lee, it's very nice to meet you. This is my boyfriend, Bruce." I motioned you Bruce and he came and shook her hand, I knew she recognized him by the look on her face.
"Shall we go inside?" My dad asked.
"We're gonna need some snacks first." I smiled, my dad smiled down at me and Bruce. We went and grabbed popcorn and cotton candy and walked inside the packed big too and sat down. The circus was always odd to me as a child, people in crazy costumes risking their lives every trick. My parents took me once, I never liked it.
The ring master walked to the middle of the room and had a megaphone, he spoke, "Ladies and gentlemen, The Flying Graysons!" I looked up to see a family, Must be the entertainment.
"Show them your appreciation!" The ring master said again, we all cheered and clapped for them as they began to perform many tricks and death defying stunts. "Thank you from The Flying Graysons!" They waved to everyone and began to walk off of the floor. But out of the corner of my eye, I saw a man attacking one of the graysons. Then another and another, people began to notice and panic.
"Dad, you on the clock?" I pointed out to him, he signed and stood up. I could hear bits of conversations from the fighting people, was not the best.
"GCPD! Everybody freeze!" Dad yelled and addressed the crowd with his badge out in front of him. I leaned over to Bruce with an exasperated look on my face.
"Never an off day with this guy." Bruce chuckled and kissed my temple pulling me closer to his side. Glass shattered and Bruce held me tighter to him, aww little protective Bruce.
"Is he always like this?" Lee leaned over to me. I chuckled and looked back at her.
"Have fun, he's a real riot." She laughed back at me and we turned back to dad who was pulling people off of each other. We soon heard police sirens and my dad had a few people handcuffed. We moved to the side of the big top with Bruce having his arm around my waist protectively. A cop had a clown in custody and was walking past us, the one in custody wolf whistled at me and Bruce held me even tighter. I saw dad walk over to us out of the corner of my eye, his eyes flickered to me and Bruce.
"I called Alfred to come pick you up, you don't need to be here."
"Ok dad, it was good to see you." I smiled and he hugged me. I turned to lee and smiled, "it was very nice to meet you Lee" she smiled at me and said goodbye. Bruce said goodbye to my dad and we walked outside. We were waiting for Alfred when I saw someone creeping around in the corner of my eye. I turned to the person and saw a redhead with pasty skin, why was he sneaking around? What was he doing?
