The rain was beating down hard, completely soaking me. I could feel my clothes clinging to my skin.

Let's just say I'm totally regretting the decision of not getting a taxi from the airport.

I turned the corner into a dark alleyway. Sighing, I pulled my phone out from my pocket and switched the torch on.

In the distance, I could see a parked car at the end of the alley.

Okay, strange?

I hesitantly walked further on until I came across a bike, which I stepped over.

And then I saw a car door that had been ripped from the rest of the vehicle.

This can not be good.

I slowed down and as I got nearer to the car, I noticed a bloodied leg sticking out from the drivers side.

Oh shit.

I cautiously looked around but nobody was in sight. Taking a deep breath, I peered inside the car.

I didn't look too long but there was an man that looked like he'd been ripped to shreds.

Could it be a werewolf attack?

If it was, they obviously didn't go for the usual throat kill.

With my hands shaking, I pressed the call button on my iPhone.

The call connected within seconds.

"911 what's your emergency?"

~

"Let me get this straight, you were walking down the alley when you saw that a car door had been ripped from the rest of the vehicle" The sheriff said.

"Yep"

"So you looked inside the car and you saw Mr Lahey's-" the Sheriff coughed, he was obviously disturbed by the sight of the body too. -"body"

"Correct"

"And nobody else was around?"

"Nobody"

The sheriff leaned back in his chair. "The bike you saw, it belonged to Isaac Lahey. Do you know him?" He asked.

"I arrived in Beacon Hills today, I don't know anybody" I shrugged.

He held up a picture of a handsome boy, about my age, with curly light brown hair and bright blue eyes. "You didn't see him anywhere near the scene of the crime?"

"Sorry Sheriff, I didn't see anyone"

He sighed. "Okay then, Shay. Well we might bring you in for further questioning if we find new evidence. So don't go running back off to South America" he cracked a smile.

"Don't worry, I'm here to stay"

He smiled and opened the door of his office, leading me to the main reception area.

"Do you need a ride home?"

"No it's fine, someone's coming to pick me up" Just as I spoke, the door opened and a boy with brown hair and dark brown eyes an stepped in. I also noticed that he had a slightly uneven jawline.

I immediately realised who this person was.

"Scott McCall" I couldn't help but smile.

"Shay Hale" he grinned back.

"Wait, do two know each other?" The Sheriff frowned.

"No" I dead panned.

Scott nervously laughed. "It's complicated" he took my arm and started to lead me away.
