"Inko-san, i'm home!"
Inko poked her head from the kitchen.
"Hitoshi, welcome back! And..." Her eyes landed on the person behind Hitoshi.
"I hope you don't mind having a guest." He moved over, and Inko had a clear view of the young blonde teen.
"I'm helping him study for the Final Term's written exam."
Inko smiled at the duo.
"Not at all! Make yourself at home, Denki-kun."
The blonde grinned at her, though she could see the nervousness in his smile.
"Thanks for letting me stay, mrs. Inko."
"And thank you for being my son's friend." She smiled warmly, and Hitoshi, prediting the future, already had on a pair of shades.
Denki, however, had no such luck.
He was blinded by the pure, warm light that seemed to radiate from the angelic green haired woman.
"Yet another soul charmed." Hitoshi chuckled once Inko left to prepare dinner.
"Mom!"
"Mama!"
"Inko-san!"
"We're back!!"
Three voices yelled in perfect harmony, two of which sounded familiar.
"Welcome back, Izuku, Himiko, Daki." Inko called out happily from the kitchen.
"Yo, Toshi, Sup, Kami." Izuku greeted easily, getting his shoes off.
"Toshin, you brought the boy!" Himiko exclaimed. "I'm Midoriya Himiko, i was at the festival!"
"Sup, kid." The scarred teenager, Dabi, who Denki suspected was adopted like the blonde girl, waved lazily.
"I'm Kaminari Denki, nice to meet you all!" Denki grinned, liking Hitoshi's family already.
Dinner at the Midoriya household was warm and cozy.
It brought him a sense of safety and happiness.
Inko is the kindest woman he's ever met in his entire life, even if he loves his mother more.
Then came the hard part.
Izuku was smart. Smart, as in, genius level in academics. But he doesn't know how to simplify things or explain something in the most efficient method, and neither do Himiko and Dabi.
So Hitoshi took it upon himself to tutor his troubled classmate and practically adopted sister.
It was chaotic, and tiring, really, as they stayed up past midnight because they keep getting distracted in between lessons.
"-and then he was like WOOSH and POW and KABAM! And the villain was down no problem!" Izuku gushed about Eraserhead.
"This actually reminds me of somebody.." Denki muttered.
"Huh?" Izuku tilted his head, confused.
"Nevermind, you were saying?"
"Oh yeah! And-"
The conversation continued.
The next morning, Inko entered their shared room, only to chuckle once she saw Izuku, Denki and Hitoshi sprawled out onto the floor, Himiko leaning against a wall and Dabi slept with his torso on the floor and legs on the bed.
She silently took a picture, and left the kids be.
Safe to say, it was the best tutoring session Denki's had in his life.
