There was peace, warmth, and good vibes all around Jack Hearts and Apple Poison. They talked, they ate, they drank. No arguments, no disagreements, no hatred filling the gaps. Jack watched Apple as they talked, there was something there was wasn't there before; happiness in Apple. And Jack was seeing it for the first time through Apple's bright smile, a smile that brought a blush to the entertainer's face, a smile that made his heart leap and caused the butterflies in his stomach.

Then it happened...

Apple didn't even see it coming...

Jack sitting in his lap, his legs trapping Apple's in between. Jack's arms around his neck and their lips touching. Poison froze for a good minute. Then slowly melted into the kiss. Finally, the wall that separated the men began to crumble. Apple runs his hands along Jack's waist as they broke the kiss. The twinkling, ruby eyes met the strong, sapphire ones. They kissed again. And again. And again. Each one felt more magical and passionate than the last one. One of Apple's hands snuck under Jack's cardigan and touched his skin, which caused Hearts to shudder in pleasure, but Apple didn't stop there; he pulls Jack closer so that there was no space left between.

Heart beats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall
But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow

Suddenly, Jack felt a droplet touch his forehead head and roll down his cheek. At first, he lets it slide, then he felt a droplet on his hand. Jack broke the kiss to look up at the sky above them. Apple looked up as well to see dark clouds rushing over their heads.

"Is it about to rain?" Jack asked.

"I believe so," Apple replied. Light raindrops came down as Jack and Apple untangle themselves and stands up. And then it began to pour.

"Are you kidding me?!" Jack screams over the noisy weather, "it's supposed to be summer!"

"Help me get everything inside!" Apple said. Jack began packing the glasses, wine, and plates into the basket as Apple rolled up the picnic blanket. They ran across the orchard to the cottage. Jack opens the back door, allowing him and Apple inside. Apple closed the door and sets the soaked and muddy blanket in a laundry bag by the door. Jack sets the basket on top of the kitchen counter and takes the dirty to the sink.

One step closer

"I can't believe it rained!" Apple exclaims out of frustration he leaned against the doorway of the kitchen and facepalms, "It was going so well." Jack sets the basket aside and walks up to Apple then moves his hand.

"At least we had fun today," Jack kissed Apple's cheek. "The rain was unexpected, sure, but we were able to spend time together. That matters to me more than anything." He placed another kiss on Apple's nose. Jack turned around and took one step before Apple grabbed his arm and twisted his body back towards him.

I have died everyday, waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more

Apple hungrily dove in for another kiss. His finger tangled into Jack's brown locks and his other hand down Jack's pants. Jack felt flustered and horny at the same time, a combination he couldn't handle. Their tounges fought for dominance, saliva slowly dripping out of the corners of Jack's mouth and down his chin. "Let's take this upstairs," Jack's knees weakened at the deep and seductiveness of Apple Poison's voice.

Time stands still
Beauty in all she is
I will be brave
I will not let anything, take away
What's standing in front of me
Every breath, every hour has come to this
