"Whew! I think we got everything!" Ms. Scatter announced as she pushed the last stack of hay into the small shed. Strands of hay poked out of her hair and some attached to her shirt and skirt. The festival has just ended with all of the guests leaving. Not to mention it's late at night so pretty much every parent wanted to get their kids to bed as soon as possible. The recruiter and any volunteer worker stayed behind to clean up any messes and to wrap up all the rides, games, ect. They started at 9 pm and finished around 11:00, needless to say, there was a ton of work to be done. At the very least this year's festival was a hit;

Farja and Hook's bounce houses were so popular, any kid that had their turn the first time wanted to go again and again until their parents had to pull them away to go do something else for a change, that and the parents knew their child would be disappointed if all the face paint melted away from their sweat. Which, the faint paint, every child was happy with the results they got. Every time the kids crossed paths, they would compliment each other about the paint. But as the night went on, Miss Hades and Pretty Scar's hands began cramping. They wrapped up their station early then ate food from the trucks. The trucks themselves provided Mexican, Mediterranean, Japanese, French foods, and desserts. (Each one had a long line of people) Next, the pumpkin carving contest. First and foremost, never let Veil or Dalmatia host a contest. It's not because they did a horrible job, (they were good hosts), but rather, between the two of them, neither can decide on which carving did better. Dalmatia wanted to choose a carving with a very detailed day of the dead skull while Veil wanted to choose a pumpkin that was carved to resemble BB-8 from Star Wars Episode Seven: The Force Awakens. Mr. V heard their commotion and gave them another special prize for a second winner. Dal and Veil compromised and chose both carvings. By the end of the night, most if not all pumpkins were taken by families.

But the one thing that brought the crowd; Apple's and Jack's haunted house. At first there only a few people at a time. Soon, more and more people wanted to experience the haunted house. Apple had Jack and other volunteers to thank for doing an awesome job of scarring and chasing the guests. Although Apple himself hasn't considered exploring the house himself mainly because he wasn't the type to get scared so easily, startled yes, but not scared. Plus, he didn't want to ruin Jack's vibe with that. He did receive a lot of compliments from guests saying how scared they were or how cool they thought the layout is.

"Well done everybody," Scatter announced, "I believe this year was more successful than last year's!"

"Ugh, it's finally over!" Joe said as he stretched the crook of his neck. "There is only so much human interaction I can take."

"I think you did well tonight," Malfie commented as he gently slings his arm around. Joe tensed at first then relaxes at the touch. He leans in his head so it rests on Malfie's shoulder. Malfie held him close as they walked towards the exit.

"We did it!" Veil and Dalmatia declared and they intertwined each other's fingers and began jumping up and down. Seeing them happy like that made the inside of Pretty Scar flare with envy. She crossed her arms and glared at them, Veil specifically. Miss Hades rolled her eyes at this.

"Scar-chan," the teal flamed woman spoke, "glaring at them like that is not going to do anything." She grabbed Scar-chan's hand then dragged her away. "I want Veil to notice me too, but I guess we can't always get what we want." Scar-chan focused her attention back to Miss Hades, her eyes wide.

"Wait," the hyena-like lady pulled her hand back, "You like Veil?" Miss Hades freezes in her tracks. "Is that why you've been so bitter recently?" Miss Hades grips her teal fan, shaking in frustration.
