15: I was crazy to let you humiliate me like this!

Amber stood still without knowing what to do. She did not intend to let Sehun meet Ariel in this way.

Before she could explain anything, that person footsteps had long gone.

"Mama....who is that uncle...?", Ariel looked at Amber with her big round eyes. That innocence in her question made Amber speechless.

When they were in their home, Amber carefully seated Ariel on the sofa and kneeled infront of her. She took both her daughter's hands in hers and swallowed her saliva nervously.

"Ariel...", Amber said but her eyes were already swelling up with tears.

Ariel quickly went in for a hug, "No.. mama.. no.. That uncle is bad! He made mama cry...".

Amber quietly whispers, "Ariel, don't you always want a daddy?".

Ariel pulled away and Amber could see the brightest smile ever. Suddenly, she felt like she wronged her daughter. She took away the father in her life.

"Ariel has a papa now?", She had to confirm with her mama. Amber let out a smile and nodded.

"Yeayyy... Ariel has a papa!!! Yeaaaaayyyy", Ariel ran around the house in excitement before coming back to the sofa slowly, with her face saying 'I'm confused'.

"Why baby?", Amber tried to wipe dry her eyes but more tears kept pouring.

"Is that uncle just now...daddy?", Ariel tried to confirm. Amber nod and quickly pull Ariel in for a hug. "Sorry Ariel.... I'm sorry...".

"Wait...wait....", The next morning, Amber woke up late and rushes through the crowd towards the elevator. The door of the elevator that was closing, slowly opened up again and her eyes met that cold icy expression.

"Good morning Mr. Oh.", Everyone greeted and Amber slowly bends forward too.

"Mr. Oh, your elevator is further down the lane.", his secretary said cautiously. Each and every employee in the elevator looked at each other in confusion and quickly got off when his secretary showed them sign to get off.

Amber also quickly stood outside before staring at Sehun dumbfoundedly. He just went in the elevator without saying anything and his secretary pressed the 16th floor.

"Mr. Oh... if I may ask, why did you use this elevator today? I mean... the company did have an elevator that heads to your office right away... so..why..."

Ding. The elevator door opens at 4th floor. The people that tried to get on stopped immediately and quickly bowed in respect. Then, the door closes again.

"This elevator will stop almost every level.", his secretary continued.

Sehun just stood there without answering and miss secretary could not continue to ask anymore.

"This document needs the president signature and....", the manager said halfway when Amber quickly raised her hand.

"I will deliver it to the president!"

"Are you sure it's fine to let her go? I mean... the Mr. Oh does not seem to be in a good mood today.", Jackson nudged the manager.

The manager looks at him and answered, "And this is why I'm letting her go... If I go.. I might lose my job."

"You.....", Jackson could not utter anything. In a company, whatever the superior says or asks to do, we have no choice but to follow. But sometimes I really want to hit 'em in the head. Jackson looked at the manager and forced a smile.

Knock. Knock. . Knock.

"Yes....", a deep voice sounded from the inside. Amber could feel her heart beating hard.

"HR department sent someone.", the secretary informed and before she leaves, she glared at Amber. Why did they send an intern to get the sign. Why her!?

"Leave it there.", Sehun said without looking away from his computer.

"Sehun-ah..."

The sound of the mouse clicking stopped for half a second before continuing again.

"...."

"Oh Sehun!", Amber lost her patience. She had decided to tell him that Ariel is their daughter but he was giving her an attitude!

"Miss Intern. Please mind your words! You are working at my company!", Sehun sounded cold and distant.

"You... Fine. Mr. Oh yesterday.. that was..."

"I didn't know you were married with a daughter.", Sehun chucked in halfway without letting Amber finishing her words.

"No.. I..", Amber gulped.

"Was it fun seeing me making a fool out of myself?", Sehun continued.

".....", Amber was speechless. This was not going the direction she wanted.

"The fact that I kissed someone with a daughter...", Sehun snorted, "Did you tell your husband about our kiss?"

"What shit....", Amber tried to explain but Sehun shoot her a glare.

"I was crazy to let you humiliate me like this! What do I lack? I have the money, the power, the look. I don't need to go after a married woman!", Sehun look away. He could not bear to look at her even for a second.

He felt like he was a joke all along. It felt like 8 years of waiting suddenly became the biggest joke of his life. He stupidly waited for that one person and truth is that person did not even bother to include him in her future.

"I'm not married!", Amber raised her voice slightly. Sehun looked at her eyes directly and let off a scoff.

"So?"

"So... I mean... I still have feelings.... we can..."

"Get out.", Sehun simply answered. Amber suddenly felt like her world crushes down in an instant.

She thought he was still in love with her. She thought, God was finally kind and heard her prayers. She thought, she was finally, going to be happy.

"I am not interested in women with kids. I don't need to degrade myself like this. Now, leave."

Amber was utterly speechless. She really feel like hitting him with a rock.

"But you kissed me!", Amber refuted.

Sehun look at her as if she was very pitiful, "What... being a single mom for so long you lost your braincells? You are considered a used product. Who wants a second hand product? That stupid kiss... you just consider that you were bitten by a dog."

"A dog? I think I was bitten by a fcking PIG!", Amber stormed off and slammed the door hard.
