Chapter 7

***Remus' POV***

"The rest of the year?! Merlin Evans has you whipped!" Sirius helped. We were back in our dorms and whilst I was doing something useful with my time (Homework), James was filling Sirius in on everything happened.

"She's giving me a chance Padfoot! The most she has ever given me is a string of course words that usually start with 'That toerag Potter'!" James said and I snickered at the last bit and they turned and looked at me as if they had just realised that I was there.

"What about you Mooney? What do you think of all of this?" They chorused, well more like shouted.

"I think that if you keep going on like this, my werewolf hearing will bust and so will Celeana's and she isn't even in the room!" I said and the lot of us laughed but the glint went back into Sirius' eyes. Uh oh! That's not good!

"So Mooney, how long have you known that Swift was your mate?" Sirius said but his eyes kept flickering to someone behind me. While I was looking behind me, Padfoot shifted and jumped on me. Prongs quickly tipped a potion down my throat. Damn, Veriteserum.

"Since fourth year. We were sitting on the couch talking and Laughing and we almost kissed but Padfoot came down and interrupted us!" I said and I clamped a hand over my mouth in shock. The other's mouths hung open in shock but soon they were grinning like Cheshire cats.

""How long have you been in love with her?" James asked softly.

"I was crushing on her since I met her on the train and I figured out I was in love with her in third year!" I whispered and we all shivered at the thought of third year.

*************Flashback**************

I was running down the corridor with James, Sirius and Peter in tow.

"You have one last chance, Snow. Tell us where Lupin disappears to every month?" I heard Malfoy's slow drawl and I urged myself to go faster.

"I told you! To see his mum!" Celeana's voice sounded but it sounded very weak. I turned around the corner and Lily and Celeana were lying in puddles of their own blood.

"Ah! Here's Lupin and friends here to save you again now isn't this touching!" Malfoy said, smirking and putting a hand to his heart. My eyes never left Celeana and James looked furious.

"What have you done to them?! Tell me!" James shouted and I ran over to Celeana whilst he ran to Lily.

"Just a bit of mild torture, to get your where abouts once a month Lupin actually," Malfoy said, still smirking.

"Mild?! They're practically dead!" Sirius said and I winced. I didn't need to be reminded about that.

"I'll tell you the counter curse Lupin if you tell me where you go once a month!" Malfoy said and his jaw was set.

"I'll show you! Go to the shrieking shack next Thursday, now tell me the counter curse!" I said and I was pretty desperate now.

"Tsk Tsk Tsk Lupin don't you know how I work?!" Malfoy said and he ran off down the hall with Sirius and Peter on his tail as I heard footsteps.

"We heard screaming! What is the meaning of this?!" McGonagal said, gasping and I would too, we were all a complete state. James, Lily, Celeana and I were covered in blood as James and I were holding the girls on our knees. Sirius and Peter had just come back with the sweat dripping down their faces.

"Malfoy was torturing Celeana and Lily!" Peter said and his voice was nothing but a squeak.

"Potter, Black and Pettigrew please talk Miss Evans and Miss Snow to the hospital wing. Mr Lupin may I please speak to you in my office?" Dumbledore asked and I knew it was best not to argue so I followed Dumbledore up to his office and I took a seat across from him.

"Mr Lupin, Have you been having a very bad headache, sore limbs and feel like you have cut yourself over and over?" Dumbledore said with an impassive poker face.

"Yes sir actually I've been feeling like that since Celeana went missing. What's that all about?" I said with confusion lacing my tone. Dumbledore rested his hands on the desk and looked at me behind his half moon spectacles.

"Mr Lupin, since your very first year at this school, I have not failed to notice how protective you are of Celeana. You threaten any boy that so much as looks at her a certain way. I've seen the way you look at her. Now Mr Lupin, Do you think you are in love with her?" He asks and my whole life just clicks into place and the cogs start turning in my head.

"Yes sir, I think I am but what if I hurt her?" I say and I know I mean it. I'm scared that she'll become like me if I so much as go near her on a full moon.

"I don't know but she's stronger than you think! You'll soon realise this yourself!" He says and I go to leave.

"That was not a good year!" James said shuddering again. I nodded but I was still stuck in my own little world.

"Are you going to tell her?" Sirius asked.
