Wolf Once Scorned- A Marauders Tale

Chapter 4

"Lily come on or we're going to be late!" I whispered to the red head on my right. James lent us his invisibility cloak so the we could get to the shack undetected. How the others are getting there, we don't know.

"Calm down! we'll get there on time!" she said and we began sprinting all of the rest of the way to the shrieking shack. We creaked up along the stairs.

"Finally!" Sirius said sarcastically and Lily an I rolled our eyes. They ushered us towards a large cauldron in the middle of the room.

"Right Lily Flower, you have to drink this and concentrate on turning into an animal!" James said handing Lily a goblet with some brown bubbling liquid in it. She quickly chucked it back and shivered and she started to get an elongated nose and her hands and feet turned into hooves. She started to grow brown fur all over her body and her eyes turned pitch black. Where Lily Evans once stood, there was a doe.

"Lily that's awesome!!!!" I squealed but she quickly changed back into a human on all fours.

"What happened?" She asked with a befuddled look on her face. I love that word.

"You have to come here for the next couple of nights every night until you are able to keep yourself in your animal form for a certain amount of time!" Remus said and Lily looked like she was about to be sick. I would to but I'm friendly with the marauders the thought of spending time with them doesn't make me feel sick anymore. Before Lily could say anything else, The other three drunk their potions and began to change as well.

Sirius turned into a big black dog but he kept his eyes, Peter turned into a very small rat and James surprised us all by turning into a big stag. They all quickly shifted back and we all stared at Lily and James.

"Well that was interesting!" Remus said and he looked amused as well as me.

"You don't say mate!" Sirius said and we all sat down on the bed.

"We should have nicknames that match our animals!" Peter squeaked and we looked at him for a minute before nodding our heads in agreement.

"Well I want to be Padfoot!" Sirius said puffing out his chest a bit.

"Awwww why can't you be Snuffles?" I teased and he glared at me.

"I am PADFOOT!" He growled and he started laughing. His laughter sounds like a bark, no wonder he turned into a dog.

"Well I want to be Prongs!" Said James and Lily and I snickered. "What?"

"Well Lily and I used to call you a fork and a fork has four prongs........." I trailed off and we all looked at each other and then we burst into laughter.

"Wormtail!" Peter said and we didn't say anything, just nodded in agreement.

"I want to be Centauri!" Lily whispered and we looked at her. James smiled fondly at her and it creeper he out a bit but other wise she ignored it.

"I think the you two should have nicknames as well!" Sirius said and Remus and I looked at each other.

"We kind of discussed what we would call ourselves if we did have nicknames!" Remus said and we shifted around uncomfortably.

"Well what are they?" Sirius asked eagerly. I blushed but other wise went first.

"Swift!" I said and they smiled at me.

"Mooney!" Remus said and Sirius and James laughed a bit but otherwise agreed.

"That's settled then!" James said and the others except Remus and I fell asleep.

"You okay?" I asked him and he smiled.

"I'm alright. I'm just thinking about what great friends we have!" He said whilst grinning. James and Lily were holding hands and I don't think Lily would like to remember that when she wakes up. I hesitantly moved over to Remus and we lay down. He put his arm around my waist and I smiled before falling asleep. I hope life is always like this.
