Since You Been Gone: Chapter 12

Robert followed the foot tracks in the dirt and he saw Aundrea sitting under a tree crying. As he moved closer, he noticed she was bleeding.

"Drea!!" Robert called out.

Aundrea got up and ran over to Robert. She collapsed in Robert's arms, consumed in tears.

"Baby, what happened? Did Rudy do this to you?" Robert asked, concerned

"I was walking down the trail and he grabbed me and dragged me to the tree. We started to fight and he hit me and left me there," Aundrea said, between sobs.

Robert was getting heated, at this point everyone was there standing by Drea and Robert. Robert looked at Drea's face and wiped the blood off her lip.

"Drea, I want you to go to Dawn's house. I'm going to handle some business and then I'm gonna come and get you. Ok?" Robert said

All Aundrea could do was nod her head. At this point she was lost for words. Everyone got their things and headed to Dawn's house.

"Muffin... Are you going to be okay?" Shannon asked

"Yeah, I need to get some rest," Aundrea said in a hushed tone.

"You can go up to the room and lay down." Dawn said

Aundrea went up to the room. She made sure all the windows were locked. After the incident with Rudy, she became paranoid. She lay in the bed and soon after she fell asleep...

Robert, Brian and Willie decided to pay Rudy a visit. They pulled up in front of Aundrea's house, to find Rudy's Escalade there. Robert got heated and jumped out the car; he was soon followed by Willie and Brian. Robert opened the door, which wasn't closed and walked in. He saw Rudy in the kitchen, and he had the nerve to have another girl with him. Robert walked into the kitchen, grabbed Rudy and punched him in the face. Rudy was too shocked to say or do anything.

"I told you if you ever hit Aundrea again I was coming for you," Robert said as he held Rudy up against the counter.

Willie and Mike let Robert do this thing. They both knew how much Rob cared for Drea, so they didn't intervene.

"I hate cowards like you, that think that because you're bigger then someone that you can push them around" Robert said as his fist connected with the right side of Rudy's face.

Robert threw a few more punches and then he looked at Rudy laying on the floor.

"I hope you rot in hell, you son of a b****" Robert said, as him Willie and Mike left the house...

"Don't touch me! Get off! Please!" Robert had come to Dawn's house to check on Drea, but when he touched her arm, she woke up screaming.

"It's just me, shh, it's just me." Robert said as he held her close while she sobbed in his arms. Aundrea was still covered in dirt and blood, so once Aundrea calmed down, Robert swiped her hair off her face and said "Ok, let's get you cleaned up."

Aundrea just looked up at him, and when she did, Robert kissed her forehead. Robert would have given anything to see her smile right now, to hear her laugh. He couldn't imagine what she was going through - he just wanted to make her feel better.

"Alright, let's go to the bathroom" Robert said as he stood waiting for Aundrea to follow him. She sat there motionless. Robert was really worried for Aundrea: she was acting extremely weird, but he hoped that once she got a good nights rest she would be fine. Robert went to the bed and picked Drea up in his arms and sat her on the counter in the bathroom. He wet a small hand towel and began to clean the dirt and blood off Drea's face.

"We gotta get you out of these clothes. I got some of Dawn's pyjamas for you to put on" Robert said as he slowly helped Drea take off her shirt.

"I won't look" Robert said. He helped her put on the shirt, and then trying to make her laugh said "Ok, I might've peaked just a little" and Drea cracked a smile. He then helped her take off jeans and put on the sweat pants.

"Ok let's get you to bed. Dawn said you could sleep here tonight." After Drea laid down, Robert got an extra blanket and put it over Drea.

"Do you need anything else?" Drea shook her head. Just as Robert was about to leave the room...

"Robert?"

"Yea" he turned around.

"Stay." He walked to the other side of the bed and laid down next to Aundrea. He got closer to Drea, his chest was touching her back, and he wrapped his arms around her and held her close. After only a few minutes Aundrea turned around to face Robert and looked at his eyes, then at his lips. She moved in and kissed his lips softly.

"Thanks" she said softly followed by a more passionate kiss. Robert was initially surprised, but hey, he wasn't complaining - he had wanted this for a long time.

"I want you to know that I would never, never treat you like that"

"I know" Aundrea said laying her head on his chest. "I know..."

As Aundrea laid in Robert's arms; she could feel all her worries go away. Dawn came to the room to check on Drea. Dawn smiled at the image before her.

"Baby, look at them," Dawn said, turning around to Que who was standing behind her

"They look like they're meant to be together" Que said, smiling.

"I hope they can be happy together." Dawn said, as she slowly closed the door.

Dawn turned around and looked at Que. She fell in love with him all over again. She knew they had their problems, but she knew that every relationship did, and if she wanted this to work for the sake of her child, she's gonna have to make it work. Dawn gave Que a kiss and they walked to the bedroom they shared.

"I Love you Mr. Mosley," Dawn said to Que

"I Love you too Ms. Richard" Que Replied back to Dawn.

They shared another kiss and went to sleep.
