Note: This isn't really graphic but perhaps just kind of PG-13. I just hope I didn't mess up too much. Enjoy!
Dawn was filled with so much anger as she watched Justin lying stiff on the hospital bed. She wanted to strangle him, she wanted to pull out the IV cords that were running into his arms, she wanted to do so much, but somehow restrained herself. She had decided she was going to handle the mess he'd made in a civilized manner now. Que had already done what she wanted to do herself, and that was to physically harm him to the point of near unconsciousness. Now as he awoke she had words to say that would forever keep him away from her and her family.
"D-d-dawn," he stuttered groggily, slowly turning his head towards her. "I-"
"Don't speak," she told him. She stuck out her hip and rested her hand at her side. "You listen to me."
He seemed to wake a little more and moved to sit up on the bed. He let out a pained groan as he did.
"I don't want to ever, ever want to see you again." She was speaking through gritted teeth and balled fists. "You've turned into a damned maniac, and as soon as I leave here I'm placing a restraining order on you. And if you can't handle that," She paused a moment, trying to keep down the red hot anger that was bubbling under the surface. "I swear I will come after you myself and they'll have to put me in jail for doing more than what Que did. You don't mess with my family."
As Dawn said these words she could hear the sound of someone walking behind her. She turned on her heels to see Que, who hung his head after they locked eyes, as if he was ashamed. Dawn looked away, feeling her anger build once more. She didn't even want to look at him standing there. Her sadness at his coldness the night before had turned from frustration to resentment. Now that she had let out what she'd bottled in towards Justin, she was ready to give him a piece of her mind too. He met her as she walked towards him at the door of the hospital room, and stopped her right as she was about to speak.
"Listen." He said. Dawn didn't look him in the eye, and was about to say something again before he squeezed her hands in his and pleaded with her to listen. "I'm sorry," he told her. "Sorry," He softly spoke. His hands hesitantly moved to hold her face so she could look him in the eyes. They seemed to be begging for forgiveness. "Let's put all of this behind us."
Dawn wanted to twist her head out of his hands, but stayed there a moment staring into those pleading eyes and began to feel her own coldness melting. She didn't need to keep this vicious cycle going. There were more important things that they needed to be concerned about rather than being angry with one another. Protecting themselves and Destiny from Justin was one of them.
Dawn was still silent but moved his hands away from her face and kissed him lightly on the lips as a token of forgiveness. He seemed relieved.
"I think I need to handle some business," he told her looking towards Justin who was twisting his head in both directions and groaning in pain.
"Oh I already did." Dawn said this but it didn't look like Que cared one bit whether she'd already spoken to Justin or not. He was making his way over to Justin before she could think to keep him away.
She watched Justin let out a howl and push a button that she suspected called a nurse as Que approached him.
"Just remember who put you here before you ever think to come around my wife and my daughter again. I should suffocate you with this pillow while you're laying there helpless, but I won't because I have a family to take care of. Don't show your face around her again or next time you won't be able to walk."
He seemed to have been trying to contain himself but was clinching his fists tightly as if he could explode at any minute. He was about to say something else as the nurse slid in front of Dawn and asked her who Que was.
