After Que and Dawn spoke to the doctor, they were allowed to see the Destiny. Tears began to flow from their eyes as they saw their precious angel hooked up to all these machines. They walked over to Destiny; Dawn grabbed her little hand, as Que rubbed her forehead.

"Lord, please keep my baby safe. She's in your hands." Dawn said aloud.

Que laid his head in her neck as his tears fell on her shoulder.

"Baby, you're going to be better. Mummy and Daddy are here for you." Dawn said, kissing her little forehead.

The nurses came in and wheeled Destiny into the operating room. Dawn and Que stood there and watched them take her down the hallway. Dawn turned around and buried herself into Que's chest. They held each other and cried, and hope that everything will be okay and God answered their prayers...

2 hours later...

It had been two hours since they took Destiny into surgery. Dawn and Que were getting antsy because they wanted to know if everything was okay. Then the waiting room door opened and Dawn lifted her head. She was never so happy to see a doctor.

"Mr and Mrs Mosley?" The doctor called

"Here!" Dawn said, jumping out of her chair.

"Destiny's surgery is completed. She's in her room resting. We have to keep her a few more days, to monitor her and make sure everything is okay." The doctor told her.

Dawn breathed a sigh of relief. Their prayers had been answered; she was going to be okay.

"Thank you so much doctor." Dawn said, shaking her hand

"You're welcome." The doctor said with a smile

"Can we go see her?" Que asked.

"Yes, she should be waking up now."

As Dawn and Que walked down the hallway, their hearts skipped a beat. They never thought their healthy child would be lying in the hospital room. As they got closer to the door, they heard Destiny's faint cries for her Mum and Dad. Dawn and Que walked into the room and comforted her. Que placed Destiny in Dawn's arms as she rocked her back to sleep.

"It's going to be okay baby," Dawn whispered to Destiny.

Que smiled sweetly at the little scene of his beautiful wife and daughter. Nothing, no other feeling in the world could compare to how ecstatic he was at seeing his baby girl alive, well and recuperating from her surgery. Dawn sat on the edge of Destiny's soft, plush bed and cradled her gently in her arms, rocking her back and forth very slowly.

Although she knew Destiny was well and healing, that didn't stop the tears from flowing down her pre-soaked face. Her salty tears crashed into Destiny's long, black pigtails and settled into her scalp, absorbing in her head. Dawn's face was pressed against Destiny's small head, and she repeatedly kissed it and kissed it. She didn't wasn't to do too much because the beige bandage was bound to her head, and she didn't want to disrupt it and cause any further problems.

"I love you so much, baby!" Dawn whispered softly on top of Destiny's head. Dawn's body shook with the sobs that forced themselves out into the open, leaving Dawn vulnerable and weak.

"I love you so much. Don't you ever scare me like that again!"

She lifted her face from Destiny's head and kissed Destiny's cheek. Que stood up and sat down next to them on the bed. Que took Destiny from Dawn's arms and placed her tightly against his chest.

"I thought I was going to lose you, baby! Do you know how much you scared Daddy?" he choked out. Little Destiny shook her head as she gazed into the puppy dog eyes of her father's. His tears dripped down his face as well and he didn't bother to wipe them away. He wasn't ashamed. Destiny reached up with her pint-sized fist and wiped the tears off her father's face.
