Chapter 5: How the time flies

You were on a mission with Jasper on the strawberry fields. You two were supposed to locate a corrupted gem that Peridot saw here not to long ago. As you were searching around you encountered the human who supposedly got captured by the sea monster not to long ago.

You tapped the humans shoulder. "Greetings human" You said. "Ahoy" Jasper said. "It was two of the crystal gems! Who saved my capitan from a sea beast" He said out loud. "And now we're here to save you" You said. "But I'm not in peril. I'm just a humble traveler who wants my name to be remembered by everyone for all time" He said. "Well travel not here traveler" Jasper said with smirk. "As this place is very dangerous" You finished. "Very well. I'll go elsewhere" He said and pulled out a map. "Wait, there are many places on this earth that a human like you should avoid" You said and crossed out places where gem buildings are located. "Here's a convenient marking of all the places where you should absolutely under no circumstances visit if you'd like to keep your short life" You said and gave him the map. "Only the most Bravest humans would dare to visit these places" Jasper said. "Anyway glad we cleared that up" You said and walked away from him. Jasper gave him a last 'pat' on the back. And walked away as well. "Farewell human!" You said.

At least two thousand years later

Peridot was paranoid. Well she was paranoid all the time. But this time she was afraid that humans could come to the temple and get themselves seriously injured. So she decided to go to the nearest store and get a 'fence' installed. She even put a sign on it that said 'Keep off the beach'.
Honestly you thought it was pointless. Humans were often breaking rules so sooner or later someone was going to climb that fence and discover this place.
And well Peridot said that YOU could watch the fence in disguise and make sure that no human will climb it over. Well and you did, cause you wanted to show that clod that you're going to be correct.

One time when you were watching over the fence, shape shifted as a bird, Citrine came back. "Oh hello (g/t)! Keeping watching for humans?" She asked. "Yeah thankfully no one comes here that often" You said. She said goodbye and quickly ran back to the temple. You were still keeping watch just to make sure. Not to long after a human appeared. "Maybe she's over there?" The human asked themselves. "Who?" You asked. He didn't seem to think it's strange that a bird talked to him "Ah, just some giant mysterious lady with beautiful electric Yellow spikey hair. You haven't seen anyone like that around have you?" He jokingly asked. You turned towards him "sure I have". He gulped "Where?" He asked. "Well uhh if I told you anything else I would have to, heh, you know get rid of you" You said and flew away. "Hey! Wait! Hold on a sec!" He yelled after you.

You quickly flew around the corner. You saw Lapis and Peridot. "Lapis! Peridot!" You yelled. "What!" Peridot asked. You landed on the ground. "A long haired human spoke to me over by the fence!" You explained. "It spoke to you?" Lapis asked. "He was asking about Citrine" You turned around. "Oh look there he is!" You said and shape shifted back. "Yo!" He said. The warppad activated and Jasper warped in. She was holding two bubbles with gems inside. She noticed you and gasped. "(G/t)! Lapis! Peridot! You're with a human!" She said. "He followed me over the fence" You said. " What should we do?" Peridot asked. Jasper walked up to him "state your purpose!". "Uhh, I was kinda looking for this mysterious Yellow lady? Kinda really tall lots of big Spikey hair?" He described. "He is talking about her!" Lapis said suprised. "How should we make him go away?" Peridot asked. "I'll just throw him back over the fence" Jasper said. "Huh?". " Great idea!" Peridot said. "Humans should stay on the other side of the fence, like the sign says Peridot added. " Please no throwing!" The human yelled. "Wait!" Citrine yelled. "Mr. Universe?" She questioned. "It's you" The human said. Jasper dropped him. "Au!" He yelled. Citrine jumped and floated down in font of him. "Are you alright?" She asked and offered him a hand. He took her hand and stood up. "You know this human?" You asked. "He was playing a concert on the beach and I couldn't help myself" Citrine explained and you giggled. "No one can ignore the Universe" He said and swinged his hair. "Oh i brought you this! It's the Free T-shirt that came with your free CD!" He said. "Why thank you!" Citrine said. You looked at the Shirt. "His gimmick is space" Citrine whispered. Peridot laughed. "Hey, play something music man!" Lapis said. "And better make it good" Jasper threatened and summoned her helmet. "Calm down J" You whispered to her. "Aw man. I'm working on this awesome new set! It's gonna kill at my next show!" He sounded excited. "My next show. Ah geez what time is it?" He asked. "Night time?" Lapis said. "Yeah. Marty is probably looking for me. We're supposed to hit the road. It's a big show, in a big city! And I didn't drop out of community college for nothing!" He said. "What?" You questioned. "Well you better hurry. You don't wanna miss your space train to the cosmos" Citrine said. "Okay! I'll see ya later!" He said and ran but stopped. He turned around and yelled "I hope the stars will align for us to meet again!". " I'm sure they will!" Citrine yelled back. "Bye! Music man!" Lapis yelled back. The human waived and started to run again. Citrine looked at the T-shirt again. "I can sing!" Peridot said. You smirked. And Jasper started to laugh. "What?" She questioned.

The human, who apparently was called Greg, started to 'hang out' with Citrine more and more often. You didn't mind tho, you thought he was kinda cool, and Citrine seemed to be quite fond of him. You would often see him waiting in front of the warppad for her. After you would come back from a mission you would high five him and smile.

Onetime he set up a stage and asked us to play a song with him. You played on a keytar, Lapis on the drums, Citrine was singing and Jasper was just Sitting behind the camera watching us. Peridot was watching from behind the stage. For some reason she didn't like Greg at all. She thought he was annoying. Greg turned on the camera. "Everybody ready?" He quickly went and grabbed his guitar. "One, two, three, four" He said and started to play.

As you were playing you got an idea. You put down the keytar and went to Jasper. "Let's try and spice Gregs video, with (f/n)" You whispered. Jasper smiled. You walked to the center of the cameras view and started to dance. (Yes similarly to the one in the video). You fused and danced around. Once the song ended you and Jasper unfused. "I can't believe I got that on video what on earth was that!?" He asked. "That was (f/n)" You said. "(G/t) thought a fusion might give your video a little something extra" Jasper said. "Pretty cool right?" You said. "I have to go but are you doing anything later?" Citrine asked Greg. "You know I'm not" He replied. Citrine laught "you're adorable Mr. Universe. See you later" Citrine said and warped away.

You and Jasper were helping Greg clean up the set. You could see Peridot and Greg talking. 'Well at least they're talking' you thought for yourself.

Later you saw Greg trying to recreate the dance moves in the video. He fell to the ground and didn't move. You and Jasper walked up to him. "Hey! Are you dead?" Jasper asked him. "Wha? No, no, no, I'm alive". He had the video from before playing on his 'TV'. " Woah cool, it's us from before " You said. "Yeah I was just, trying to get my head around this fusion dance" He said. "What?" You questioned. "Wait you guys are gems, you gotta help me out here, I need to be able to fuse with Citrine!" Greg said. "First you need a gem" Jasper said. "Than a body that can turn into light" You said. "Than you need a partner you trust with that light" You added. Greg looked confused "metaphorically?" He asked. "Litterly" Jasper said. "Ugh.. So it's true. I really can't do it. I'm kidding myself with this. I'm never gonna be a gem" He said. "Let me tell you something Mr. Universe, I think you can do it. But it won't work if you'll dance like me" You said. "You have to dance like you" You added. "You have to fuse your way. Get open! Get honest! Invent yourselves together!" Jasper said. "That's fusion" You said. "I think I get it" Greg said.

You were hiding behind the hand that fell from the temple. You heard Citrine warp in and walk towards Greg. He started to play some music. You trying to listen to what they were talking about. The only thing you could hear was some faint talking. "I bearly know you" Greg said. "That's a good thing" Citrine answered. "We really rushed into this" Greg said. "Everytime on Earth seemes fast to me" Citrine said. "Do you miss your home planet?" Greg asked. "No. Never" Citrine answered. "How'd you end up with uhh... Muscle (Jasper), Leaf (You) , Robo (Peridot) and Drop (Lapis)?" He asked. "Huh? Oh them?" Citrine noticed you, Jasper, Lapis and Peridot Peeking from behind the hand. "Those are four long stories" She said. "What are they doing?" Peridot asked. "Shhh" You shushed Peridot. "Have you loved other Humans?" Greg asked. "Have you?" Citrine asked. "Yes" Greg said. "Yes" Citrine also said. "Have you ever been 'in love' with a human?" Greg asked. "How would I know?" Citrine asked. "It's torture!" Greg said. "Greg. Is this torture?" Citrine asked. "The worst" He said. "I'm so sorry" Citrine apologized. "Huh? No don't be!" Greg said. "What?! Why not?! I'm so confused!!" Citrine said. "Me too!" Greg yelled. "This is good. We've got one thing in common" Citrine said.
They started to twirl around and laugh. "Why are they still dancing? It didn't work!" Peridot said. "Yes it did" Jasper said. "What?" Peridot said. "It worked" You said. "I think this one is my favorite" Lapis said. "I think he's her favorite too" Peridot said.
