Chapter 14

Delilah

"Hey Enzo, how have you been?" I ask dragging him away from the now, large crowd.

"You know how much I missed you Del?" He engulfs me in a breath-taking-away hug. Literally.

"Hey, you're taking up all the time. Let me hug my baby sister." Matteo pulls me away from Enzo and pulls me into another hug.

I swear, next time I'm walking around with a 'this girl does not enjoy hugs' sign.

"I missed you so much." He says while hugging me.

"I missed you too Teo." I say while hugging him back.

"Then you didn't miss me?" Enzo pouts.

Why are all my brothers like this?

"Of course I missed you too Enzo." I say quickly before he starts throwing a tantrum.
I totally forgot about the crowd. They were staring at us wide-eyed.

Okay. Time to go home.

"Let's go home fast, I wanna meet nonno and nonna." I said quickly, dragging them towards the car.
Tyler texted me that he was gonna come back home afterwards, so we leave without him.

"By the way, why did you guys suddenly decide to visit?" I ask them.

"Why? We can't visit you when we want?" Enzo looks at me with hurt in his eyes.

"No no. It's nothing like that. It's just that you guys never visited me before, so it's a surprise." I quickly clarify.

"We just had some important things we had to discuss with your brothers. But the most important one was coming to visit you." Matteo says.
He was the one driving.

Once, Enzo decided to drive us to a place and let's just say we barely lived to tell the tale. I was so traumatized after that incident, that my family decided Enzo must not drive whenever I was in the car.

"I hope no one is troubling you at school?" There it is. The good old protectiveness.

"What do you think? Dad already warned the principal that if I was troubled by anyone, he'd have him fired." I sigh thinking about how scared the principal must have been.

"Our uncle is simply the best." Enzo says laughing. Matteo joins him.

What was so funny about that? Our poor principal.

We finally reached home. I get out of the car excitedly to greet my grandparents. I was a little bit too excited and tripped over my own feet, falling face first on the ground. Luckily, my hands came before my face, saving it from any scratches. But my knees weren't very lucky. Since I was wearing jeans, the material scraped the skin on my knees a bit too roughly.

That's gonna leave a bruise.

"Delilaaahhhhh!!!!!" There comes Enzo's dramatic scream.

"Delilah!" And this was Matteo's.

They quickly come to my side and lift me up. Enzo's voice was probably heard around the whole house. Soon everyone came rushing to me. My grandparents, my brothers (except Tyler), all the helpers and bodyguards, you name it. They always make such a big deal out of everything.

"It's okay, I'm totally fine." That was proved wrong when I tried to walk by myself but nearly fell. If my cousins weren't holding me, I would have fallen for a second time. And that would not be a pretty sight.

"Delilah, how many times do I have to tell you to be careful?" Tristan said with concern and frustrated.

"I'm sorry." The thing is, whenever my family gets really worried about me, I feel really guilty for making them worried and I feel like crying and slapping myself. I kept my face down as tears were threatening to escape my eyes.

"Delilah, come here baby." My grandmom comes and hugs me.

"It's alright. There's nothing for you to be sorry about." She reassures me with her words.

I'm such a baby for crying like this and my family pampering me, is not really helping. I am a very sensitive person and can release a waterfall easily.

"My honeybun, why are you crying? Is it because of Tristan? You want me to teach him a lesson?" My grandpa said cupping my cheeks.

"No nonno. It's fine." I said wiping my tears quickly. My helpers and the bodyguards were watching this u fold with wide eyes.

Soon I was being lifted by Matteo and taken into the house. My grandma starts shouting for things to tend the wound and all my brothers are by my side.

Could this be anymore dramatic?

Little did I know, this was only the beginning of the drama. Life was about to be completely turned upside down.

With all the ongoing things around the world, stay home and stay safe. I'll try writing more since we are on lockdown. Btw, what have you guys been doing during quarantine? I'm literally bored to death.
