Chapter 12

Delilah

As soon as I reached home, I dashed up to my room.

Usain Bolt, who?

"My phone my phone!!!" After searching for sometime, I finally found it.

This sneaky bastard.

To my excitement, I see a message. I wanted shout and squeal but my brothers would probably bring an army of soldiers to see what was wrong with me. So I contain my inner violent self.

After walking around the room due to the excitement, I finally decide to look at the message.

Heart, please don't do this. You're killing me.

My frickity frack heart won't stop beating million times a second.

Unknown : Hello Sweetheart, this is Luca.

My heart just did a flip. I think. Because that's what it felt like.

Delilah : Hi Luca.

Currently freaking out. Somebody send help, I might just end up in a hospital.

Luca : So about the meeting, is it still on?

Delilah : I don't know.... If my brothers find out, all hell will break loose.

Luca : So scared of your brothers? I thought you would be more than that. Tsk.

Delilah : Mr. Romano. That card is not going to work on me.

Luca : Sweetheart, we are totally going off topic here.

Delilah : I don't think I can do this. I can't break my brothers' trust. You know what? I dare you to convince my brothers for taking me out. That's what you get for calling me a scaredy cat.

Luca : Are you challenging me right now, Darling?

Delilah : Call it whatever. But if you do that, I'm willing to do anything for you.

I obviously knew that he would not be able to do it. R.I.P in advance Luca.

Luca : Anything?

Delilah : Anything.

I was sure that he would not succeed.

Luca : Challenge accepted darling. When do you want me to ask them?

He's definitely got a death wish.

Delilah : Whenever you're ready.

I hear Tristan calling me down for the ice cream.

Delilah : I'm so sorry I have to end this conversation. Goodnight Luca.

Luca : Goodnight sweetheart.

With that, I keep my phone and go down. I see all my brothers sitting and waiting for me. I quickly join them and we had some small conversations.

I decide to retire for the night and go to my humble abode.

I wonder when that day will come.

Just as I was about to fall asleep, my phone starts ringing. It was my mother.

"Hi Mom!"

"Hello Baby, how are you?"

"I'm fine as always mom. What about the both of you? Enjoying the vacation?" I just realised how much I missed them. Tears were threatening to fall from my eyes. A small sob escaped.

Gosh dang it.

"Delilah, did I just hear a sob coming from you?" This time it was my father.

Damn it. It was on speaker.

"No dad. It's just that I was about to sneeze?"

Somebody, please do the honor and shoot me.

"Delilah I don't want you lying to me. Why are you crying? Was it your brothers? I'll talk to them." He says sternly.

"No no no dad! It's just that I really missed you guys." I'm so going to ruin their vacation now.

3, 2, 1-

"Baby do you want us to come back? We'll book a ticket right now and come there." There it is.

"See dad. That is why I didn't want to tell you the reason. I knew you would do this. Please don't ruin your vacation because of me."

"Are you sure honey?" My mom asks worriedly this time.

"Yes I'm sure mom. Now please go ahead and enjoy your holiday. I'm going to bed."

"We love you baby. Good night." My mom says before keeping the phone.

Dad is definitely going to call my brothers now.

I'm definitely going to be surrounded by them in the morning.
